To: World Population I am proposing a worldwide strategy to discredit the theories of man-made global warming, starting with the 60 minutes of 'Anti-Earth Hour'. On the same date and time as Earth Hour, March 29th, 2008 at 8pm, your local time, join the fight against the lights off hour by turning your lights ON.

In fact, turn everything on! Below, I will provide you with a list of all potential items and objects that you can turn ON as a way to counter the effects of Earth Hour.

-all household lights
-air conditioner
-heater
-automobiles (your ride)
-automobile headlights
-washer
-dryer
-dishwasher
-stove/oven
-put on oven's self-cleaning cycle
-microwave
-any/all kitchen appliances
-television
-dvd player
-game system
-stereo
-and any other electrical equipment you can think of

Please sign this petition to indicate your support and participation to 60 minutes of 'Anti-Earth Hour'.

Disclaimer: I will not be held responsible for any actions that result in damages or harm, such as but not limited to, burning down your house due to faulty wiring, etc. Participation is at your own discretion.
Sincerely,
The Undersigned

Looks like you are wrong again...it hit a nerve with the silent majority.

  1. Please keep these fools away from the Boston Garden - the East Regional finals will be going on during your "Earth Hour" - what a gimmick.

  1. How are all of the lights possible "non-essential"?
Are we supposed to sit in the dark?
I'm turning on all of my lights at 8:30 pm!

  1. I'll be turning on every light in the house at 8PM, the pc, oven and anything else electric I can put my hands on to protest the whackos of the World Wildlife Foundation.
There's an elite eight basketball game on and you want me to turn my lights out for these moonbats. You're outta your mind!!

To protest all of this global warming anti-science, lets all turn on all of our lights for the same hour to counteract the moonbats turning theirs off. We can also get in our SUVs and pickup trucks, and drive down to the local ice cream stand to get a cone.
What a great way to celebrate Moonbat day.

I didn't think anyone still believed that one...it's been thoroughly discredited...another outright lie.

In protest, I just turned everything on in my house and it will remain on thru out the night. I will sleep with all lights on. Thinking about going outside and chopping down some trees to burn them all night as well. Screw you Al Gore!!!!

I read that the environazis are claiming up to 1 billion people worshipped Al Gore by candlelight tonight.

So that only leaves about 5 billion people who ignored them and sat around logged onto the internet or watching the Villanova-Pitt game or just going about their normal business.

I wonder if Obama turned the heat down in the White House tonight:

Though he's spent more than 20 years in Chicago, the president was born in Hawaii. And so he "likes it warm" in the Oval Office, said Chief of Staff David Axelrod. "You could grow orchids in there," he told the New York Times.
But while it's perpetual summer in the Oval Office, the rest of the country has been trudging through a tough winter. Ice storms have cut power to millions in the Midwest and South.
With few orchids growing in the heartland, critics are saying that Obama -- who urged individual sacrifice in an inaugural address that called for a "new era of responsibility" -- hasn't been willing to bear the cold with the rest of the country.

I still burn my leaves after I bag them in those plastic grocery bags that everyone is trying to ban.

Gotta do your part and set an example for the neighbor kids. !~~~!

I'm certainly far from convinced that global warming is a made made phenomenon.....in fact I think it's probably natural.
I still turned my lights out at 8:30 though...what the heck...why not?
Saved me some electric bill and didn't hurt anything. Was still on net and had t.v. on.

Can't hurt, but i'd rather spend the hour telling everyone that global warming is all about a global tax. :103631605

How about you use electricty as normal, but mail me the money you would have wasted turning on all those appliances and I will take up whatever side you want on the enviornmental issue

That would be the far more effective way to get to people to your side. Failing to do that would mean you are just full of shit and don't even want to follow your own stupid ideas

Was this really any dumber than those "don't buy gas on (insert date)"? If you don't buy/use now, you're just going to buy/use more later.

I was at some lame ass Jack & Jill shower last night, and they actually turned the power off at the party. We were using candles for light.

Can see it now...HuskyFan making nice to the young bride and groom while being forced to choke down cheap Zinfandel from plastic cups and itching to know what the score is in the current NCAA tourney game

True story...Have a local friend who last fall was conned into attending a wedding recpetion (invitation months in advance) at same time as Florida/Kentucky football game , a 45-37 barn burner finale

It was held at the house of one of the parents....Pretty nice digs with a backyard pool and bbq scene going on.

Bobby and his Dad sneak upstairs to one of the house bedrooms which has a TV and turn on the UF/UK game.

By the time Bobby's girlfriend (part of the wedding party) caught them, their were like eight other beaten down dudes who had snuck up and joined them.
