Amid the Affliction and UFC Fight Night don’t forget Dream.5 is also on this weekend to determine the Lightweight champ<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Fight of the night will be the Lightweight Grand Prix Reserve Bout: Joachim Hansen vs. Kultar Gill

I love the way Gill and Hansen fights. I want Gill to win since he is my town guy but Hansen should be able to submit him. Gill never works on his ground game at all.

I think Aoki takes the tournament. His fighting style to weird with all the rubber guard stuff

KID Yamamoto is also fighting.

read preview for all the fights here

With the exception of seeing Silva fight again, I'm looking forward to DREAM more than UFN.

Alvarez/Kawajiri should be awesome since Alvarez won't be so easily bullied by Kawajir's wrestling and Kawajiri is going to be in a real fight.

Aoki and Uno should also be great if Uno was as slick as he was in his fight against Ishida.

Don't forget Akiyama will be back in action, and possibly Mark Huntoooo (with Kharitonov as his possible opponent).

This should be the best Japanese card since Yarennoka.

where u hear Hunt is fighting? That would be awesome

for me my area if interest this weekend is

1) Affliction - just too many good heavyweights I have not seen fight in a while with some possible dog picks

2) Dream.5 - Aoki is amazing with his rubber guard - Alvarez with his KO power and fight of the night Hansen vs Black Mamba - will be fight of the year canidate

3) UFC Fight Night - Silva will destory not fun to watch, im looking forward to Franca vs Edgar only

Btw Hunt is fighting Overeem now.

Should be a good match. Overeem has looked great lately, especially after destryoing Buentello.

Aoki and Kawajiri.

Well I'm not wishing someone good luck haha...

You think Kawajiri can get Alvarez to the ground before he gets popped? He didn't get Gomi down and looked really sloppy in the standup, eating multiple shots. I think Alvarez can KO him.

Btw, this event starts at 11pm PST and 2am EST for those that are interested. It's a bit earlier than usual I think.

I think Kawajiri can hang with Alvarez on his feet just fine. He traded with Gomi for a long time and Gomi is a lot better than Eddie. He actually didn't try many takedowns so that explains him not being able to get Gomi down. Kawajiri has never been KO'd.

Should be a great fight though. Very even matchup. This could possibly be the fight of the weekend.

I disagree. I think Eddie's standup matches Gomi's pretty evenly. Throws bombs with tons of speed. Maybe I watched something different but alot of times in the Gomi fight, Kawajiri looked like freakin Hermes Franca, just throwing wild overhands and not putting any combos together. He hasn't shown the power of a Franca for it to be worthy of trying that route IMO. I like Kawajiri but I think this is a bad matchup for him.

Congrats on your win with Aoki turbozed. Uno's sub defense was even better than I thought but he just couldn't manage much offense. I wasn't expecting a knockout but figured he could do more when he had position. Oh well, Alvarez/Kawajiri up now.

Thanks. I made too much money on Aoki in the past to turn my back on him now.

Aoki looks pretty tired. And after he cries in the locker room he'll be too dehyrdrated for the next fight.

Alvarez/Aoki coming up.

Alvarez got the crap beat out of him but always has one punch KO power.

Aoki -250 is my line but I've been an Eddie Alvarez fan for forever and will be backing him no matter what the line is. Not smart for betting but just gonna go with my heart on this one and throw a bet out there for fun.
