well treehouse, the only reason I might look forward to Panthers winning SB is that they represent the NFC South, where my Bucs come from, and could make it back to back Super Bowl Championships....But, I still think he's a bit cocky.....

If you blame that loss on McNabb then I need to take a fund up for a new pair of eyeglasses for you. As I stated before, he's not the best but the playcalling and holding by defenders all game long sucked but what sucks most of all are his receivers. They can't catch the ball when it hits them in the hand, can't run routes worth a $hit and just overall sucked. Pinkston singlehandly cost him 2 interceptions. Not to mentioned he got hit after the play with a line that couldn't protecta condom in a wrapper. I admit he does need some improvement though and needs to stop being so phucking laid back when his receivers phuck up. His looks after an interception are almost as bad as Peyton Manning.

well somebody's got to be able to criticize the guy - and god knows the media's too terrorized to call a spade a spade.

Oops, did I just say that?

There isn't a quarterback in the league that would've won this game for the Eagles. Blaming McNabb when it was the entire team that lost is ignorant of how football works.

The bottom line is that even Quincy Carter had a better game against this D than McNabb tonight. A couple of those balls Manning grabbed it was hard to believe he wasn't the intended receiver. You can't tell me that Dallas has more talent than Philly as a team. But somehow it is OK to criticize Quincy and even pin the loss to him, but God forbid we lay any blame on Saint Donovan.

Would I like him on my team? Absolutely. But is he still over-rated? Yep.

Dallas absolutely has more talented recievers than Philly. One of the INTs McNabb threw was because the stupid reciever forgot he was supposed to cut inside.

Last year I thought McNabb was not playing the type of game to win anything against the BUCs. This game I look at the Receivers. Some guys say McNabb passed it directly to the defenders. On offense its about timing and McNabb was throwing the ball to where the receivers were suppose to be. I give it up to the Panthers DB's for making it hard to hit the spots they were suppose to. The receivers were pushed around and could not catch the tough ones. The game would be different if his receivers would just make a big catch in the big game. The Better overall team won and deservingly so.

The Eagles need receivers who fight and make the big catch. Maybe they will keep Staley, besides missing that important catch he was the best offensive player in that game.

Just gotta chime in here with my 2 cents. McNabb is a "good" quarterback and i wont even attempt to argue that, but to go anything above "good" in that statement is ignorance. He has proven so far to not be able to win the big game and i know he has some par at best recievers but when the eagles win and McNabb's numbers are even "Average" no one talks about how good a job the other guys did just McNaBB. So why when this team loses its all about the sub-par recievers and coach's calls etc. I for one am tired of hearing all the "McNaBB excuses" and will say yhe played as bad as the rest of his team yesterday. Was it all his fault ofcourse not football's a team sport and you lose that way. But did he play worth a shit , Hell No ! ! ! Plenty QB's in this league play hurt on a weekly basis so him being injured early on didn't help but again stop wit the excuses already. Carolina Defense played very well and they also deserve the Lion's share of the credit here.

But i for one still say that all and all McNabb is overratted by the media and some football people. He has some mobility but so does tons of other guys and he is at best an average passer as is many other guys. So wit this being true hard to make me believe he is that much of a superstar. A Good QB yes i once again agree , but with lots of room for improvement. He sometimes reminds me of "Randall Cunningham" in how they overrated him aswell in the beginning. Both good QB's but nothing beyond that.

I can agree with that. Unfortunately, debating his ability was turned into a racial issue by a certain vulgar drug-addicted pig.

I won't disagree with that either. But his being overrated has nothing to do with race, because there are a lot of overrated white quarterbacks out there too (like the losing QB of the other game yesterday). Maybe one reason the media loves him is because he's a good citizen... he doesn't chop up his wife with a butcher knife, or try to smuggle grass through airport security, or get caught smoking crack while driving 110 mph down an interstate.

Banned your point is well taken. I would never downgrade him or anyone else for that matter by what color they are etc. I totally agree that McNabb being either black or white should not matter. And yes he is a good citizen and should be given alot of credit for that because many players are not. I commend him on his off the field actions and im sure he is a much better person than he will ever be a quarterback. That in itself is nothing to be ashamed of.

Let`s face it guys the NFL is FULL of "good" QB`s. We didn`t know it at the time but the era of Montana, Kelly, Marino etc. was heaven. A time we`re not likely to see again for a while.
After yesterday I think Brady may have the requisite qualties to ascend to that class. Heart, leadership, pass while moving, field vision. I don`t mention arm strength tho he has that too, but I think that is the most overrated quality of all. A lot of very mediocre players have it, but the great ones have the other qualities mentioned. The Eagles have the worst group of WR`s I`ve seen. Lucky for them the upcoming draft is loaded @ that position.
