It's fucking bad SR, I have friends in Houston and every town east including Beaumont, Orange and Port Arthur. I wanted to fly down there but you can't, Hobby and Bush closed for anything but emergency aid and I don't qualify. I've never seen anything like it and I lived through three canes down there back in the mid-80's. No telling how many "floaters" they're gonna end up finding.

Look up the American Red Cross on Charity Navigator, 90.1% of the money goes to where it's intended by donors. I'll take that every damn day.

Man, you are way off on the Red Cross. I've volunteered for them several times. Not bragging whatsoever, just saying. No other humanitarian organization compares to them in a time of crisis. Check out their local warehouse and you will see plenty of donated money spent on goods ready to be distributed those in need.

I've volunteered there as well. I'll volunteer anywhere, that don't bother me one bit. I just like to see any donation I give, 100% goes, or else I'll donate it my self which I want. No harm in that. :toast:
