Atlanta (CNN)Donald Trump has been drawing large crowds at events throughout the country, but his next event in Alabama could draw his largest gathering yet.

Trump is holding a Friday night "pep rally" in Mobile, Alabama, and because of increased expected attendance, a last minute venue change is taking place, the campaign said Thursday.
Previously planned for the nearby Civic Center -- which can hold up to 4,000 people -- the event is now being moved to the 43,000-seat Ladd-Peebles Stadium, normally home to high school football games.
"It's because of Mr. Trump's message of making America great again which is why people want to come out and hear that message," Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski told CNN.

As of Thursday morning, 35,000 tickets to the event have been distributed, according to the Trump Campaign. Tickets are being made available on an Eventbrite page for free. Local police spokesman Terence Perkins confirmed to CNN that the City of Mobile Police Department is expecting at least 30,000 people to turn out.

Ed Behm, director of operations with Ladd-Peebles Stadium says that they don't know exactly how many people will actually turn out, so they're operating under the assumption of maximum capacity. They plan to hire additional staff, he says.

"The venue is a lot bigger, so obviously it's a lot harder to have personal interaction," Lewandowski says. Trump is expected to mainly focus on immigration, and "talk about a number of things that he always talks about," said Lewandowski.
Mobile Police say they will have 50 to 60 officers working the event, in addition to Mr. Trump's private security detail and event security.
As for any unexpected surprise guests, celebrity, or bald eagle appearances, according to Trump's campaign manager, "you're gonna have to wait and see."

The snow ball is rolling down the hill further than anyone ever expected or maybe even intended.
Here is hoping that the 'movement' shows that there are enough citizens voters out there
that want to see America rise from the ashes & become great again. Trump is the guy, 'the pied
piper' who can run the rats out of here, like the original piper did for Hamelin.

I don't know what amazes me more: Donald Trump getting 30,000 people to hear him speak or they have high school football stadiums that seat 43,000 people in Alabama.

Home of many bowl games, too.

I really hope Trump goes all the way but you know the women are intimidated by him and perceive him as an asshole.

Who says his plan violates the 14th Amendment! The left wing Dems have
changed the Amendment that states a Marriage is between a man and a woman..
.if you can do that, we can certainly make a work around that 14th Amendment.

I sure hope I'm not alone in recognizing the absurdity of this statement. If I am, the timeline in Mike Judge's "Idiocracy" is off by hundreds of years.

When neverbend says Trump is the guy. He doesn't really mean for POTUS.

He means for having a great wingman at Maxwell's in '68. Tough to disagree with him there.

But I get it though, it makes perfect sense with the way things have been going. Both parties are fed up with the bull shit. When the going gets tough, Nationalists and Socialists make us feel all warm and fuzzy inside with their scapegoat politics. Immigrants and Rich Entrepreneurs aren't the cause of our woes, they're just scapegoats. They're actually what made us so great. The real problem is all the red tape we have, making it nearly impossible for entrepreneurs and innovators to do their thing. Get rid of the red tape and corporate tax and we'll need another 10 million immigrants to fill all the jobs that are being created.

You're after my heart.

This is what it is all about. Defying's communist rhetoric is no match for your anarcho-capitalism beliefs.

Maybe you get it, but by what you wrote I can't be sure. You seem to be making a mostly separate point. The "absurd" statement I was responding to was the notion that there is/was a constitutional amendment that defined marriage as being between a man and a woman and that since that has been changed to some degree, working around the 14 amendment shouldn't be much of a challenge and that similar tactics can be administered.

The question then becomes "what is wrong with that statement/notion ???" The answer should be obvious to any knowledgeable person. In case it isn't, the answer is There's no such constitutional amendment defining marriage. It was a question for the courts to decide and it was determined that is not the definition.

To think working around the 14th amendment can done in a similar manner is frankly idiotic. There are specific rules for changing/removing/adding a constitutional amendment (any amendment) and it requires a very high standard that involves elected officials across the nation. The courts have no involvement. Most of the GOP candidates understand this. However, these candidates are slaves to the narratives that are fed to their clueless, easily duped, know-nothing, followers and they have to treat them like they're intelligent and play along so these followers don't ever realize how stupid they are. It becomes a major risk to tell the truth. They believe if they do that, they'll no longer be viable and they're probably right about that. Mostly because they'll get no monetary support from the party or the super rich. For an example, compare what Ted Cruz is saying now about changing the 14th amendment to what he's said in the past. It's the exact opposite.
