Dave O'Brien is said to be replacing him. O'Brien has been doing the radio broadcast the last few years when he wasn't doing TV for a game on ESPN.
Not sure if it has anything to do with Orsillo being critical. He really wasn't, although anyone would have a right to be. I think O'Brien is as good as there is and would be an upgrade. Orsillo's contract is up and not being renewed.
The PR nightmare has been the performance of the team. They did win the World Series in 2013, but finished dead last in 2012 and 2014 and almost certainly 2015.
Orsillo has had a great run. I really like the guy. Its fun to watch him and Remy completely lose it laughing and not be able to control themselves. Like a couple of kids.
I listen to O'Brien as well and think he will do a good job.

Red Sox front office is making changes, and this is just another one. Orsillo is rarely critical of the team so I don't think that is why is contract is not being renewed. Writing was on the wall that this was going to happen, when Don went on a forced vacation for a couple of weeks and they replaced him with someone else. Not sure what that was all about. Dave O'Brien will be fine, but sorry to see Don go. He & Jerry could be hysterical at times.
