He also starred in the "Ghost and Mr. Chicken". I remember, when I was a kid that movie scared me. :lolBIG: But he'll always be "Fife" to me. Have a :drink: on Barn.

Not that anyone would care but my Dad went to college with Knotts at West Virginia University. Dad says Knotts was a "nut," even way back then. A great comedian, in my opinion, even as far back as "The Man on the street" skits, I think on the Jack Parr Show. I can vaguely recall a rotation with Knotts, Bob Newhart and a couple others. Very funny!

As "Barney Fife," Knotts set the bar extremely high for many who came along through the years. Knotts will be missed.
