I just signed up for the express odds free trial. I have played a little bit with it, but am wondering if anyone has advice on how to get the best use out of it. I have the sounds configured so that I am alerted when a line move occurs in basketball. Is it then up to me to search for what book the move happened at or there a way to set it up so that it highlights this?

Also, any other tips or things you find useful please let me know as it is all new to me.

Best feature is the Changes screen

The custom feature is where you can program your own games for any sport and follow them with any books you like.

I wonder if it's worth the cost? I use this site Live Lines and it's been great for my needs.

About $100 for express odds and $500 for premium odds I think

Go sign up for the 30 day express odds trial MC.

I like it so far.....easy to find info about each game and view movements etc.

For those they may wish to compare the two line services for free. G&J also has a free line service (bronze). Each provides some of the same as well as different offshore books. The web site for G&J is as follows:

PeTeep, don't bother with the sound unless you want to lay on the couch or cook. Use the Setup key to arrange the books you use on the 1st page. This makes it simple to see the moves and which book you have to get the best number at. At least this is what I do with the Island Express service, without which what I do would be very labor intensive and not worth it. JM2 cents.

Moon:

The bronze service is free by simply signing up. No credit card needed and no limit to the length of service. Just the "Alerts" alone are worth it. Rather then me listing all the books they cover, consider trying their free bronze service as the features are similiar to Don Best, although not completely the same.

Thanks Ted I'll look into it. How long of a line delay? What type of alerts?

Not sure exactly the delay in minutes. Would estimate perhaps around 3 minutes but honestly not completely certain. Could be a little shorter or a little longer. As for alerts, key one's are late player's out for the games.

I always wondered about places like this who charge for picks.

If it was that easy to make money the whole world would be in on it. So that being the case is it worth the money they ask?

WHat is the best way to use their services?

These are line services that provide "real-time" odds from various books to their subscribers and do not sell picks. Thus you can track moves and get down at the best odds. Many Rxers consider these services an excellent investment (particularly for the larger player).

Few, if any here, place much faith in touts selling picks.
