Because a vast percentage of steam, especially if with plenty of clock 'til post-time remains to lure the followers, and not a critical buy, nor situational play..are usually sendouts.

Near All-Star break until the fall schedules crank up is a major take-back period for BMs, always has been, many pros avoid this period for R&R of golf and fishing, as much for the rest before foots..as also avoidance of the gambling traps, and also MLB's "faux races" where the teams jerk- off to generate ticket sales and hype into October.

If a player followed steam on every game that appeared steamy, how do you do? Surely you use other angles and not just steam.

The steam basically got crushed yesterday. One of the worst beatings ever. These were positions, almost all one way moves. The big two were BoSox and Yanx. The Bosox steam was brutally bad and hard to explain. Maybe anti Hampton play. Yanx was the dreaded double up or anti sweep. Even posters here thought that was the way to go. Yes, I always double up on a road fave to avoid being swept? Especially against a crosstown rival. Lilly and his fantastic road record were sent packing as I guess Puerto Rico does not qualify as a real road game. These were all large moves. And all road faves, oops. I can't remember the other three moves that were wrong, but I think they were faves bet down. No DB yet. The only winner was Padres as anti Royal money. Another poster said to fade the Royals rest of season. So far so good for him. I tell you what, if this steam is so bad, dead wrong bad, there is a boatload of value on the takeback...Best Wishes...OF

At the risk of sounding like froggy, I cashed all three home pups yesterday.

Mets +215
Braves +130
Expos +154

We won't discuss my SF, KC and Minny bets.

I went to drag races, lit fireworks with kids. Steam I just did not get was BoSox. Lowe not exactly pitching well, BoSox not exactly playing well. To lay on road, and then get steamed? Yesterday was papers only, and I am struggling to find anything today. Hey Pancho, at least FROG the turd posts tickets. You can edit some zeros in to make the $10 bets look bigger. And that is $10 Canadian...OF

OF, the only tw major moves I have seen were on Min and Det(if you can believe that).

Min is probably explained by everyone jumping on the fade KC bandwagon, and the fact Pin had them -191 when everyone was -200 or more.

you should just cap and try to do your best, instead of chasing someone else like a fool.

i may be the guy who said fade k.c. I also said fade seattle on road. both teams just got rid of stars cant imagine one of there players diving face first into the seats like Jeter the other nite. With luck one of them will lose 6-9 in a row. so far they have both lost 3.
of i enjoy your stuff here and at fezz,s place. keep it up. thanks

Nothing yet so far today. After yesterday's beatings might not see it today. Most of those were over 20 cent moves. It is early, worth watching though. I can't cap anything worth playing today. I either anti steam or pass. Only real good angle is DRays, going a good 5-0 after a loss L5. Braz is real hot, but now to a little AL park, which negates speed advantage in outfield. And doubles to triples, or singles to doubles. Cabrera is a stud. Best spot for DRays is at NL park. That is done. Yanx could be fade material again, but Bases Motown not an attractive price. Mets on road? Gained a lot of momentum, sweeping pitcherless Yanx. Glavine having awesome year. That might get bet. Tough sked, needed yesterday's games today. Not sure if I visit Pasadena today with new series, but looking like that right now...Best Wishes...OF

I actually am betting a game today one way.

I took Texas +112, (missed the 114) First game I have seen in awhile that I like quite a bit.

I did look at that. Price seems awful low vs. Sabs at home. Texas broke out of scoring doldrums bigtime yesterday. But even mediocre pitching has shut them down on road. Rangers decent road squad. I would be on Texas if forcing, but price does not entice. But I wish you the best, and a winner...OF

No surprise there, the public and even the sharps at times seem to get creamed annually during interleague play. I personally always tread carefully on it as it just seems to bring out weird results and throws teams out of form during and a for a rotation run after it. Can't even put my finger on it, but after the first two years of it where I was getting hammered I realized better not to fight it and take it easy in this time of the calendar. I do like alot that they have made interleague play all in a short period of time instead of the phases they used to have some years ago.
