I see an urgent message coming across my premium account stating that as of September 1st the Don Best Premium service will now cost $550 rather than $500. They say it's the first rate increase since '91. I would think with new live line services popping up, including here at the RX, that they would reduce rather than increase but they know most bookmakers need it so it's an easy call for them. The timing is curious the day before the Kyl bill gets heard in the Senate however.

The followers that complain about Don Best all the time would be back in business without it because they could get a leg up on moves from major books and then bet the secondary ones with their clone plays. If you handicap your own plays then all Don Best does is show you where to get the best price or to get off a game because of a lineup or weather problem working against your side or total.
Clerks at books would suffer the most because the rundowns would be back to pre-'96 levels which really tied them up at crunch and books over head would jump with inflated phone bills.
