Steve, I think the SEC was a little embarrassed last year during the bowl games. Maybe
there was more motivation this year because of the poor showing during 2015.

2015 was a strong 8-2. (Plus 8-2 ATS) SEC averaged 36.6 ppg, opponents 19.9.

LSU 56 Texas Tech 27
Auburn 31 Memphis 10
Mississippi St. 51 NC State 28
Louisville 27 Texas A&M 21
Tennessee 45 Northwestern 6
Michigan 41 Florida 7
Ole Miss 48 Oklahoma St. 20
Georgia 24 Penn State 17
Arkansas 45 Kansas State 23
Alabama 38 Michigan St. 0

Throw in a national championship and it was a strong post season for the SEC!

Florida was def the embarrassment of the SEC Bowl games

Which is why the jury is still out on McElwain. Florida's last 5 games were an embarrassment to everyone associated with the program and conference. Terrible coaching job. But he gets a pass due to the piece of shit he replaced leaving the program a mess. How the hell South Carolina hired him is beyond imagination!

Florida had QB woe's and just played awful on offense. one side of the ball can not completely carry the other, especially defensively. 3 and outs will tire the hell out of them quickly.

We knew A&M was going down because of the locker room troubles and QB issues. I thought UGA would also, but I really thought Penn St was over hyped all year long anyways. The setups really lined up well for the SEC this year. Not sure if you want to go all conspiracy theory there or not, but you certainly could.

The B1G ate it big this time around at least their "elite" teams did.

The championship game participants lost their bowl games by a combined score of about 86-24

Most people knew the 2 best teams in the Big 10 were Ohio State and Mi. You saw their results. Ohio state still
should be upset for sleepwalking for most of the season. Clearly they are a top 4 team
