FYI

if you had played every dog for 100 ea. you would be up 6650 so far this year.

up 1690 this month.

i have every days lines from day 1 and went back and looked.

the trend that is blowing me away right now is if you played every dog , but flipped them over and made them the - 1.5 plus money side. basically using reverse run lines.

i only have numbers for june and you would be up $3444.00 for the month on 100 per.

your record would be 96 - 169 . nice month with a 36 % winning percentage.

oh and by the way ,

that up $ 3444.00 with 2 huge losing days.

6/8 1-13 - 1149.00
6/13 1-14 - 1245.00

a few more wins on those days and it would be a really good month.

KING,
Is this something that you have done this year or in the past or something that you have just simply monitored? Sounds almost too good to be true! Some of the big dogs tonight, Minnesota and Pitt, are both +300 or better on the alternate run lines. Might take a stab at some dogs tonight -1.5. Please let me know if this is something that you have played this year at all or just something you simply have monitored. Good luck to you tonight!

i started looking at them early june and jumped in.

you cant just pick and choose . it is up based on playing every game. their have been a few times that i played the home dog straight when the payoff was like 190.

other than those few instances i have played every game minus the 1 1/2 + money.

the average pay back is well over 200 . you only need 5 winners most of the time to break even or show a small profit. 6 or more winners out of 15 and its a nice night.

their have been a couple of big losing nights , but it had ran off 6 straight winning nights until a small loss last night due to a 1-4 night.

be careful.

Ive been using the reverse run lines on dogs almost exclusively this year and doing pretty well at it.

I wonder if its like this every year

I have been picking and choosing though

it was your way of playing that got me looking at them jaypaw.

i figured something had to give given the 2 facts that a little over 70 % of all games are decided by 2 or more runs and that the road teams are winning at about 46 % this year.

put those 2 facts together with an average payoff of over 200 on reverse runlines and then throw in home dogs for good measure.

thought it was worth tracking.

having said all that , it will probably lose every day the rest of the month.

Please help me understand the "reverse-run line".

Tonight we have:
Arizona +150 +1 1/2 -145
San Diego -165 -1 1/2 +125

LA -104 +1 1/2 -200
SF -106 -1 1/2 +170

What are the plays?

Thanks for your time

reverse run lines are only offered by a few shops as far as i can tell. pinnacle, wwts, olympic, cascade, 5 dimes.

basically they put up another line separate of what you listed.

the 2 games you listed would have reverse run lines of :

ariz - 1.5 + 253

los ang - 1.5 + 170

they are also known as alternate run lines.

hope that explains.

It sures does....Thanks

If my book does not have those lines available, I assume just playing the dogs as per the moneyline is what you had first been discussing (that were up over 6 gs this year so far......)

And do you think this is a trend that will continue as the linemakers fine-tune the lines?

Thanks for taking the time.....
Looking at Arizona in a different light tonight....

Thanks again

hard to know if the dogs will continue to perform. i think their is so much parity in baseball now that the road team has just as much of a chance to win as the home does.

road team is typically the dog.

the reverse run line thing is on pace to get clocked so far tonight. but still up for the month.

Awesome thread slapshot. I was just wondering about this. As mentioned earlier, I am also wondering how this has done in past years. My guess it might be alot closer to even. There is a lot of parity right now.

Road dogs are supposed to be the only sub-set showing a long-term profit ( small). I think you need to pick your spots. I'd say this is a fluke, so far (assuming info is accurate ).

I always look to bet dogs first, but this system is to easy to work, many would be on it, and prices would adjust accordingly !
