Aren't they undefeated when playing in the conference championship since the game's inception? Either way, as an Auburn fan Colorado has a LOT better chance against the Sooners than does Iowa State so i'm pretty happy about the Missouri win over the Cyclones. Thoughts?

The whole big 12 north is a bunch of bottomfeeders, but my thinking is a lot like yours....I would rather see Colorado play and have a chance than to see Iowa State show up and just get run over. Tough for Colorado but they have a little more talent and a few more playmakers than Iowa State.

If you're looking for a game to bet, my advice would be to do the same thing as I'm going to do with the big 12 championship game.....

Just watch it, and bet on a different game that's less ugly.

I'll have a write-up later in the week on this game. But I can say that the Big 12 Championship game is never a runaway. Especially in cold Kansas City at night in December.

spread destroyer-

as a fellow tiger fan I was also quite pleased to see Mizzu beat ISU; it may just be illogical hoping but I am thinking that Auburn has a chance even if OU wins:
1. OU gets upset in a huge upset (Big XII Championship has seen its share; Texas over NU comes to mind in a game where no one gave Texas a shot)
2. OU barely wins (less than 10 points) in a game where CU is always in it; meanwhile Auburn puts 50+ on the board against UT in a game that is over at the half

I don't know how likely either scenario is, but we can always hope.

fyi - rumor is that Tubberville is leaving at the end of the season for what they did to him last year...

With Purify healthy Colorado at least will bring a consistent offense to the table. Klatt is experienced enough to possibly back here. I wonder if this will rise to 24 before game time.

I agree that the Big 12 Championship has seen some big upsets with Texas over Nebraska, Texas A&M over a number 2 rated Kansas State team a few years ago, and the biggest last year with Kansas State over OU. I don't know what you hear where you live, but here in Oklahoma we've gotten the distinct impression from Stoops and the players that OU is on a mission this year and feel that they have alot to prove to the country. OU is a proud team with a deep tradition and they don't like at all the way they lost those last 2 games last year. If OU loses this game it won't be because they underestimated Colorado. The Buffs do have some talent on offense and I like the way their QB passes the ball and runs the offense. But OU has had 2 weeks to prepare for that team whereas the Buffs had only had one week. In my opinion that kind of preparation makes a big difference with a very clever coach like Stoops. I also question Colorado's defense, who has given up a lot of points this year. I believe the only thing you OU naysayers can hope for is some bad weather and hope a lot of big breaks or turnovers go Colorado's way. I wouldn't hold my breath on that.:nono5:
