Just barnstorming here but.......

What if.......

FSU beats FL
FL beats ALA
OKLA ST beats OK
TEX loses Conference title game

Utah possibly finishes 2nd in the BCS standings.

Is this actually possible?????

Again, just barnstorming here with some thoughts.

USC vs UTAH for the title.

USC and UTAH are 5th and 6th in the BCS currently.

I dont think so but how about let Boise play Utah in the other mid major 'National Champ" game and be done with it.

No way USC would play for a NC if they can't even win their conference.

So what happens if the 2 best teams are from the same conference.

Eveyone thinks UF is so great, based on them blasting some very medicore teams.

No reason to think Texas and OU couldn't beat them and to say the top 2 teams are from the Big 12.

one problem, if oklahoma loses, Texas Tech plays in the championship game not texas. All Texas has to do is beat a&m, which they are 35 pt favorite and they would end the season with 1 loss

Okl beat OSU and wins big 12 title game. Bama loses to Aub or FL. FL loses to FSU. Could end up with Texas and OKL in title game.

Did everybody forget that Nebraska played for the title vs Miami in the Rose Bowl and didn't even play in the big 12 title game, got crushed by Colorado last game of the year, Colorado beat Texas in the big 12 game and Oregon got screwed out of the nc title shot and promptly crushed Colorado in the Fiesta Bowl.
let's hope for chaos

to answer fish's question bc it was a ? he asked...

yes if total chaos did insue utah would be one of the 2 in the game with 0 losses, this can obviously ONLY happen if everyone else (other than 1team) has TWO losses.....

the true odds of them getting IN the title game should be about -15000 however...

Texas has no chance at getting into the Big 12 title game, even if OU loses.

this is why the BCS is such a great system, it keeps teams like Utah out of the Title game. you want to go play a better OOC schedule and shut up until then

ummm....Looking at the standings, #1 Alabama has only defeated 1 top 25 team (#11 Georgia)

#6 Utah, also with no losses, has defeated 3 top 25 teams (#14 TCU, #17 Oregon St, and #18 BYU).

the only redeeming thing in that is knowing Bama will have to beat florida to play for the NC.....but the main point is as of today their resumes' don't seem to warrant Alabama being 5 places above Utah.

Im not sure I follow this statement at all.

They scheduled games @Michigan and against Oregon St this year in the non conference, and won both. Oregon St is 1 win away from a Pac-10 title and Rose Bowl berth. And how is Utah supposed to forsee Michigans downfall to the cellar of the Big 10 in advance???

So if Penn St had beaten Iowa and won out in a supposedly weak Big 10 this year, you would be okay with them having a title shot? Even though their non conference games consisted of coastal carolina, oregon st (hmm sounds familiar), syracuse, and temple.

Im not advocating for utah to jump to the title game either, it is just that your statement that utah's non-conference schedule should prevent them from ever having a title shot defies logic.

God you are so stupid.

Do you really think anyone is willing to schedule a home and home with UTAH.

No wonder why sportsbooks make money, because so many stupid fucks don't even know what is going on.

They also did play UM and Oregon State, they didn't know Michigan would have their worst team in School history and they beat Oregon State.

Call Jeremy Foley and see if he is willing to schedule Utah as home and home. Call Deloss Dodds and ask him the samething. Call Gene Smith and ask him the samething.

No real BCS contender team is going to schedule a team where they gain nothing by beating them and losing everything, when they lose.
