With all you solid cappers on Tennessee?

Temple hasn't played that bad; Tennesee has solid wins....

Let's get the main discussion going here. The game is early 11:00 Central for me and Tennessee is on the road. Dionte Christmas should have a solid game for Temple as usual, can Tennessee hit enough three's to put Temple out of reach???

First thing, particularly in basketball there is no such thing a as lock. With that being said, Tennessee appears to be the play.

Christmas has had 2 bad games was held to 4 pts last game and Miami of Ohio went into Temple and blew them out of there own gym. Its only temples 2nd home game this season. Im trying to see if this is a trap or to put the pedal to the metal to start saturday off. Been watching this line since it came out, already up to 7 in Vegas. Im thinkin of teasering this line down to 3 or 4 in a 4pt tease with georgetown i dont know yet. Nothin to appealing with tenn. for a 4 pt tease. I would recommend laying the juice and buying this line down to prevent getting hosed. Same squad met up last year and Tenn took temple from the start and shut down Christmas. Question is with the 9 day lay off will this team come out flat?

Everyone has been lookin at threads and seeing guys on Tennessee. What are the main reasons that make this such a strong play?

Early game, on the road, past games don't mean much. Tennessee hasn't proved much on the road this year. Tennessee can score though. Temple hasn't done anything special this year at all, including some weak performances at home. But, why would the line start at 6 if Tennessee is THAT much better? Tennessee could have started at 8 point favorites and bounced to 9 and finished at either -7.5 or else -11...

Tennessee a lock? Giving six on the road? Absolutley not. Although, I do think it is a strong play. Last year Tenn and Temple met in November in Tenn and Tenn won it 80-63. Tenn has nice wins over G-Town and Siena and a loss to the Zags. Lets not forget that G-Town game was pretty much without Chism. Tenn appears to be one of the faster teams in the country with 5 athletic guys who can run and shoot and pressure the ball on defense.

Temple has losses to Miami Ohio and Buffalo as well as Clemson. Non of those teams possess the fire power that Tenn has.

I'm not sure what you are trying to get at here. Think you are reading into it too much.

On the road thats why its so low. Stats are there Tennessee beat a georgetown team by double digits, played with gonzaga
(still think they should of won that game) and the talent is there. Going into a bam box gym of temple, early noon start, havent played in 9 days. Play here is tennessee or no play. tennessee is going to look to get out run and run this team out of the gym. All depends if the defense is there and they force turnovers.

Tennessee -3.5 (bought 3 pts)

2 team teaser

Tennessee -2.5
Kansas -13

I hate taking road teams but feel confident in these picks

Chism hasn't done much at all this year besides rebound the ball. Tennessee definately has more firepower than the teams that Temple has lost to at home already this year. But it is still Tennessee on the road against a hungry Temple team. I can see it being a play, but isn't there better plays on the board than a road favorite?

I agree Tennessee is the play in this one if a play is going to be made, but I hope it isn't forced by you guys....

Not really only other teams that came into play were oregon and alabama. Oregon playing in a neutral site but im not sold on that team yet same with Alabama. Tennessee is ranked #8 in the nation for a reason. this also is not a forced play. This will probably be the only game I play all week. Also worth looking at Tennessee 1H. This is the same set up as Wed. night with Gonzaga looked what happened. I know it was close early on but the better wins here.

There are better plays then road favorites. But, I am not afraid of road favorites, road dogs, home dogs, home favorites, or whatever. Anyone can win. In my opinon the REAL home court advantage doesn't start until conference play. Tenn is going to prove they are a top 10 contender.

Clearly more thought goes into a play than past opponents.

Home teams were the plays tonight because the stats showed that Drake, Miami, and Ark LR were the better teams. Iowa ended up covering in a rivalry game, but the others weren't as strong as they seemed, with Ark LR losing SU, Drake losing by a point (depending on when you got it) and Miami covering by a few points also depending on when you got it. Stats and records aren't going to give you automatic winners.

I understand we aren't discussing the board looking for plays that are free money to all who wants it on the forum, that is unrealistic. But I am just saying I am looking to take Tennessee tomorrow and I can't afford to lose this one; I am looking for more insight and discussion. Also noting that 3 cappers (with solid records) are already on Tennessee for bigger plays, and I am just trying to milk information from you guys. It needs to be a solid investment.

I read your post homedawg regarding the temple play. Just wondering how you could go with a temple team in which Christmas hasn't scored more than 10 pts in 2 games. It will not get any easier with this in your face defense tennessee brings to the table

i like temple ive been about as cold as they come though, this penn st team that they just beat is not a bad win at all, and it was fairly convincing on the road, also temple fans will be very fired up for rare home game against big name.
