Is the baseball rule fair or does it need to be changed. I vote for a change. Like a few posters have stated, if Tampa goes on to win game 5, it will very hard for bettors to reconcile their feelings that lost their bet on Tampa eventhough they won game 5.

It goes both ways. If Tampa wins, the bettors will feel like they got screwed, but if Tampa wins, Philly bettors can argue that this has always been the rule and they have gotten beat in the past when they have had a team in Tampa's situation.

The current rule is the opposite of the intent of the bettor. When I make a bet I want it to be graded fairly. The intent of my bet is to be graded based on the final score of the game. This is common sense why is this so hard to understand.

If life were fair, there wouldn't be rainouts. There wouldn't be flight delays. Every day would be a CFB Saturday.

With some things all it takes is common sense to make it fair, for others it takes the act of god.

Yes, the rule sucks and needs to be changed. Shit, everytime it happens it is fucking. If you had Tampa last night the rule destroyed you for no good reason.

Change the Rule!
