...the emperor has no clothes.

This could have ramifications in other sports.

If the saints would have done the same thing they would have gotten the same results the pats did.
Payton would not have been suspended for 1 year and they would not have lost any draft picks or suspensions.

But our owner had to be a pussy about it and took everything with no fight
It pissses me off

So is this it, or can the NFL appeal?

I'm surprised the owners are letting him appeal.

They can't want this to continue....

Your probably right. Tough for these owners to stand against the group.

If this was an Avg. Player, there would be no fight.
Ownership really wouldn't care to back that player.

the Saints owners did the same thing the Patriots owners did

and the NFLPA doesn't represent Payton

not to say Payton wouldn't have won, but the team is different than the players

I don't think there are any questionable decisions at this point.

Goodall lost Brady & Rice & Peterson once somebody else looked at the case. I don't think PED suspensions can be questioned and I have to believe there's some statute of limitations. Furthermore, how can you undo suspensions already served.

However, Goodall has proven he's not worthy of the authority he was given, he's proven he's a lying jackass, he's a fraud in my world and he diminished the integrity of the office he holds.

I don't see how he survives this

He survives because hes making a boat load of money for the owners. They dont care about anything else. Unless major sponsors threaten to leave, Roger will continue to reign over the NFL.

Will / can Sean Payton sue the league over his earnings lost during bountygate?

I'm guessing the statute of limitations may have passed, and his case would not be about the CBA. It would be more about the team and their contact with each other, and the Patriots didn't contest their ridiculous penalties either

but I'm no legal expert

Goodell carrying on with an appeal just makes it look like he's making it personal at this point. Not a good thing to be dragging this out any further.
