After thinking about this a second I thought about running a few #s..let's see...
- 182 million/365 = 498,630 per day
- Max Rake $3 - call the average 1.5 (poster above)
- Raked hands per hour per table - 50 (for a full game, more for shorthanded)
- 1.5 X 50 = 75 bucks per hour per table
- Tables run say 20 hours of solid action
- 75 X 20 = 1500 revenue per table per day
- 498,630/1500 = 332 tables
I could see it. If you include the effect of short-handed tables, single table tournaments, multiple table tournaments I would not be shocked is they were able to rake 182 million.
Just a thought here, I'm not sure how long that can last though. The money has to come from somewhere and with people busting out and the rate of new customers added slowing down, I can't see the site generating those kinds of numbers for the long haul. Regardless, they will still rake in a bunch of cash though.
On the profit side, I bet the MARGINS are HUGE!!! Customer service is run out of India, hardware is cheap, and I cannot imagine that they have too many highly paid executives. VERY NICE BUSINESS!!!
