A guy with a 3.18 era who gets 1.9 runs of support per game isn't really a "mush"
He's a mush, and I like the kid.
I'll throw out the fact that he's 49-66 because his Pirates in the past didn't win many games 3 and 4 years ago, but his career WHIP is 1.4 (well above the league average), while it may not be his fault his team doesn't win, the 10 hits per nine innings allowed and the hight (considering he pitches in the NL) Era of 4.4 is his fault.
He's having a nice season so far, but for his career, his numbers are the very definition of a mush.
His standard 5 year average is 10-13 4.39, with 1.42 WHIP (or 13 base runners per nine innings) and only averages 5K per game.
