Loved watching him take down the cavs back in his Orlando days in the playoffs. Guy was just such a mismatch

I think he is borderline, but needs at least one more decent season to get in. At his peak he was dominant and took a team to the finals, and his overall career numbers in rebounds and blocks should be pretty impressive once he's done

You should have to be dominant and be one of the best players of your era to get a in. When people talk about great players of the last 10 years, he wouldn't be mentioned.

people even throw around Donovan mcnabb and hof. Are u kidding?

Would be a pretty big spew of a pick. I'd expect Zeller gets a lot of minutes at center and they will barely be on the court together at the same time.

well its a points league where dbl dbl gets you a 5 point bonus. centers are like RBs in fantasy 10 years ago. but i expect dwight to play 29-31 minutes a game and easily average 14-11. he really looks that good to me this year and id bet is down 20 pounds from last season

Oh ok, guess it makes some sense with the scoring but I think Zeller will play a little more than you think. He was 1 of the better players in the league in real adjusted plus minus last year and he's 7 years younger than Dwight. Team went 33-29 w/o him and 3-17 w/o. Zach Lowe in his 32 predictions preview today said he thinks Zeller will start at some point this year. I don't see that happening but it does illustrate how it's probably going to be a bit of a timeshare.

Also, if he lost 20 pounds it's probably just because he's off the sauce. Rich enough that he can finally quit that stuff, bad side effects.

NBAHawks give strange video tribute to Dwight Howardby Victor GalvezJanuary 31, 2018dwight howard, hornets
It’s no secret that Dwight Howard’s stint with his hometown team, the Atlanta Hawks, did not turn out as planned. He only lasted one season there after signing a lucrative deal in the summer of 2016. However, that did not stop the team to honor him with a weird tribute video on Wednesday when the Charlotte Hornets visited Philips Arena.

The eight-time All-Star center even received a standing ovation from the Hawks fans, after the 30-second video was shown, where they thanked him for “Staying True to Atlanta.”

Yes he will get in

A lot of these comments act like he's retired. He's still going and having a good year

No, or now they are just letting anyone in. He's never won anything and almost never improves a team when he gets traded, which is a lot. For a reason.

Dwight Howard first player to tally at least 30 points, 30 rebounds since 2010.

Charlotte Hornets center Dwight Howard did something on Wednesday night seen only once before in the past 36 years.
With a rebound in the final seconds of an 111-105 victory at the Brooklyn Nets, Howard finished with 32 points and 30 boards to become the first player since 2010 -- and just the second since the 1981-82 season -- to have a 30-30 game.
The last player to do it was Kevin Love in 2010 while with the Minnesota Timberwolves. He had 31 points and 31 rebounds in a win against the New York Knicks.
Love took to Twitter to congratulate Howard and welcome him to the club.
Prior to that, the previous 30-30 night belonged to Moses Malone, who notched 38 points and 32 rebounds in a 1982 game.
Howard's monster performance came on a night when Charlotte rallied from a 23-point deficit to get the win. At 6-foot-11, Howard had a competitive advantage on the boards and in the post on Wednesday night, as Brooklyn did not play anyone taller than 6-foot-8.
According to Elias Sports Bureau research, at 32 years old, Howard is the first player 30 or older to post a 30-30 games since Kareem Abdul-Jabbar did it in 1978, also against the Nets. The last player older than Howard to reach the plateau was Wilt Chamberlain, who had the last of his record 124 30-30 games at the age of 35, according to Elias research.
