I don't think he had a realistic chance of going #1 no matter what happened today.

I think all three need another year in school. Great upside though.

lets add all need another year of education not just school if there is an upside :think2:

yep these babies need to stay in school at least another year to work on their games and number 1 their education........it time for a rule to be put in for kids to stay at least 2 yrs, if they are that good anyway dont go to school and take up space in the classrooms for some person that might really wanted to get a education.

Im not a big believer in sports leagues making rules to protect their owners from themselves. Its no surprise that these NBA teams that like to take one and dones are most times back in the lottery, but NBA executives dont want to see that. The thing that needs to change, though, is the power of AAU Basketball, which clearly does not have the players best interest in mind.

Nobody gives a shit about their education. These guys are about to make millions.

Nobody cares if they know who Issac Newton is.

Then let them go right out of high school to either the nba or the d league and dont take up space in our colleges for that 1 yr, i think we can do without them

here is my rule idea: you want to come to college, you are signing for 4 years.

if you think you can play in the pros out of h.s. , then you start in the d-league. nba teams can draft players out of the d-league or after they graduate college.

if you went to the d-league and it aint working out, you still have your college eligibility

^^^^^^^^^^^^that would work for me, the one and done kid is killing the nba for the most part as most just play street ball and dunk city, they never learn defense from a real coach, plus after their playing time is over with half has no money as they did not put in the effort at a college to get a real education........

I think Duke's loss, and Jabari's numbers, may have an affect.

Most NBA mocks have had him going 1st or 2nd overall for some time now...

Clark Kellogg (after Mercer beat Duke) on postgame: (paraphrasing) These kids would benefit from the education. Even the NBAers.
Chuck Barkley: The check is a better benefit.

Charles is correct...some of these kids come from nothing. Doubt many would want to cash their lottery ticket in 4 years after you hit the lotto. They can always come back and get their education if they want.....if not, make the money, take care of your family and play hoops.
