Colin's point is well taken in brackets. Thing about it this way. In your bracket the first round is worth the lowest point value right. Well with everyone trying to find all these great upsets he simply looks for teams to make the elite 8 and those are the higher seeds. What is it worth to pick 10 first round upsets when by the sweet 16 you have 5 teams left.

That's why I do bonus points for picking upsets in my bracket. It's way more fun. If correctly pick underdog wins, you get bonus points equal to the winning team's seed minus the losing team's seed.

I disagree....that's why jill doe or john's little brother wins the office pool so often....he/she picks the higher seed or the team she has heard of while we sit and overthink the crap out of the brackets

not saying picking all high seeds will win it, but you will be in contention doing it that way....that said, it is NO fun for me to do it that way, I love to think and pick matchups and have sleepers

Yeah, especially last year, I think the guy that won one of mine had like 2 upsets in his whole bracket: an 9 over an 8 and a 10 over 7. :>(

I'm glad yahoo started custom scoring this year. Like I said before , I will do the bonus points system from now on.
