I laughed out loud at lunch today and pissed a coworker off. He said "Screw all this liberal media junk, Bush makes me proud to be an American". I laughed and he gave me an evil look. I retorted that I hadn't said a word the whole lunch and let him and another coworker go on and on with their religious right spew and would still refrain from comments. Thankfully I was able to eat my lunch in peace after that because he stopped the morality speech straight out of his Mormon sermons and started talking about his 5 kids instead.

So I wondered, just how many people feel proud thanks to Bush? The thought just seems so inconceivable. You might want to vote for him, you might like some of his ideas, but being proud of this guy???

I love Bush and he does make me proud. He has restored honor to the White House and he does what he says he is going to do. That is why he is so hated...the elitists in this country talk about doing things and that makes them feel good...Bush DOES what he says:drink:

I'm

extremely pround of President Bush. Could you imagine what shape we'd be in if Carter, Gore or Clinton were President today. When you're options are to submit (get a pray rug) or fight I'll take Bush 100 out 100 over the others. Just remember how Carter handled the Iran hostage crisis during his term. America never wants to go back to those days.

Think Bush has done his job very well considering the circumstances.

Proud?

Maybe in a way, yes.

ps- FWIW, I am of the Reform Party.

Proud? You bet! Is he the smartest man in the room? Probably not, but he has attributes that can't be measured by I.Q. alone. He has the courage of his convictions and performs his job with the interest of the American people utmost in mind (irrespective of the polls). Of course he has shortcomings, we all do, but he exudes the confidence in his actions that I think all Americans need at this critical point in our history.

I agree with Gameface. I try not to even imagine what shape we would be in if Gore had been elected. I know that Bush will protect us, and he has done a very good job as a President.

Day in and day out this forum is over run by the hate America first crowd, it's nice to see how some of you feel. With the internet, talk radio and the will of most Americans we will prevail against those that hate us enough to cut our wifes and children throats given the chance. We have no choice except to support the only person that shows the spine to not coward to the enemy and that's President Bush. It would be easy for Bush to go along to get along with the UN, France, Germany and Russia who were all be paid off by Saddam. The President has chose to go against the grain and stand up for American and for that the man has earned my respect.

Do you guys all drink from the same water supply?

Listen to what you're saying:

"He has the courage of his convictions and performs his job with the interest of the American people utmost in mind (irrespective of the polls)."

So if the American people say the want this or that, and Bush ignores this, he is performing his job with the Amerian people in mind? Sure, I guess, in a bend-em-over kinda way.

" I know that Bush will protect us ..."

Really? Because every other week or so, Bush or one his buddies comes on tv and tells you to be scared shitless. I guess if you run to your President and cling to his leg this provides a certain sense of comfort.

"We have no choice except to support the only person that shows the spine to not coward to the enemy and that's President Bush."

Which enemy, again? The one you already had (OBL) or the one you created (Iraqis)?? Seems to me that this National Guard "vet" hasn't ever had to truly face an enemy, so how would you know if he'd cower or not? He can yell 'bring 'em on' all he likes, but it's not his ass on the line, is it? Remember that 'flypaper' theory I posted last week that you said you thought was a good idea? That is truly the most cowardly thing going. Take the fight off your own streets and put it in the backyards of people who until now had nothing to do with it .... very very very cowardly. There is absolutely NO honour in that.

I Am Extremely Proud Of Mr Bush. He Is Honest And Decent And He Cares About Our Country And Every One Of Its Citizens. He Also Cares About Freedom And Democracy The World Over. It Would Be A Cryng Shame If We Did Not Reward Him With Another Four Years As Commander In Chief.

It came out how I thought, the people who I knew would say these things did. What I don't like is Game's usual rant about the "hate America" crowd. No sir, we just hate Bush, we certainly don't hate America. If Bush loses it would be a great thing for America, but also much of the Republican party. A loss here would send home the message to stop the bullshit about parading as a "compassionate conservative" having a convention full of moderates that people actually like and then the day you get into office putting out morons like Ass-croft in positions of power while listening too much to the Wolfowitz's of the world. That is what people don't like. You guys say Kerry flip-flops, where is the accountability for putting an idiot like DeLay in charge of all your congressional initiatives and have Cheney in charge of saying with a straight face "deficits don't matter"...after selling us a bill of goods that you were going to be a different type of Republican.

But if that makes you proud, so be it.

Wildbill You Are So Clueless. It Is Critical That The American People Re-elect George Bush. He Has Been A Phenomenal President. He Is Decisive And Tough, Honest And Decent, And He Has Integrity And Is Not A Wuss Like John Kerry. Bush Inherited A Heap Of Trouble From The Clinton-gore Administration From The Al-qeada Mess That Clinton HaD Numerous Chances To Handle To A Recession. Clinton Should Have Taken Out Bin Laden After The First World Trade Center Attack And Didnt. He Then Should Have Taken Out Bin Laden After The Us Embassy Destructions In Africa. He Then Should Have Decided To Take Out Bin Laden After The Uss Cole Attack. Clinton And Gore Put The Us In A Bad Bad Bad Mess And Bush Is Fixing All The CRAP Clinton Fukked Up. Clinton Was Soft On Terror Or More Accurately He Did Nothing About It. Kerry Would Be Even Worse. Smarten Up And Pay Attention To What Is Going On In The World. Democracy The World Over Is Depending On The American People Making The Right Choice At The Polls On November 2: George Bush!

You can always tell when the Libs are in deep trouble. They can't carry on an honest political discourse without the conversation degenerating into name calling "idiot" "Ass-croft" "moron" or "we hate Bush". These verbose diatribes directed at GOP office holders is typical of Libs desperate to regain power (NOT GOING TO HAPPEN)!

In all likelyhood the GOP is going to retain control of congress and the whitehouse. Assuming that occurs, are we to presuppose the American people are just idiots for voting them in? Is it remotely possible that you could be wrong, and the voice of the people is right? The problem with the left is they will never admit what clearly is the wishes of the voting public. Personally, I think there is good and bad in both parties, it just so happens the left is over-represented by the latter and the right by the former!

Bush ain't my favorite - But he's so much better than flip-flopping Hanoi John Kerry, the traitor!

Bush has Honor - Kerry has none
Bush is decisive; Kerry can't figure out what he wants to do
Bush will do what has to b done: Kerry will do what Jaque Chirac tells him to do!

Pops69 has it right - Kerry will sell us out!
