Note: those who haven't seen last night's episode, go no further.
Now that we are 3 episodes into this season I have a few nitpicks/cliches that irk me:
1. The hot headed agent who defies all orders but is still gainfully employed by CTU. Did they not perform any psychological tests on this bozo that may indicate a tendency to insubordination? Can't think of his name on the show but it's that goof who went to question Salazar. Also, he's the Einstein who thinks you can hear him shouting over the roar of a helicopter.
2. Kim Bauer - "I'm not leaving until you tell me what's in that box." Bitch slap her and tell her to get the fvck outta the way. I have an office to search.
3. Can't any criminal mastermind devise SOME kind of holding cell that is ESCAPE-PROOF?????? Just post a guard with instructions to NEVER open the door unless accompanied by 20 guys with shotguns. And don't fall for the sick stomach/need medication trick.
4. Why would prisoners kill off their only negotiating tool: hostages? Interesting angle but Deer Hunter it ain't.
One that bugged me from season 1 and it still gets my blood boiling
When Jack's wife and Kim are trying to escape and they drive down a country path just off the highway, the wife gets out and says "Wait here. I want to see if we lost them." AS IF!!!! Why the hell wouldn't you just keep driving, you moron??? Naturally the car slides off the road.
Don't get me wrong, I still like the show but I need to vent when they go cliche-o-matic on me.
