Talking to someone very respectable offshore, I was told Western Union estimates that only ____ % of its revenue is from sportsbooks...

What do you think Western Union % of profits is from offshore sportsbook money transfers ?

Isn`t it ironic how we see the Western Union commercials during sporting events

less than 1% not even a blip on their radar. Heck, if it wasnt for govt pressure, WU would have never said anything

70% of western union outlets in my area are down at anytime. WU has the worst customer service of any company I have dealt with by far, only one close is the DMV or PCS Sprint. No way is the number only 2%, I speak with the people at the WU about the percentages, its about 15% of all customers and about 27% of the money, and thats here in Socal where sportsbetting isnt as popular as a place like NewJersey. Companys lie, employees lie, in fact WU employees lie on a regular basis.

If somebody got the figure 5% for arguments sake from a wu insider or press release , you know damn well it is twice or even three times that. This is not something western union want to bring attention to but something they want to maximise the revenue from in the meantime in my opinion.Keep it cash and they will have a longer shelf life in this industry i think.

Or what about this sad figure, the amount of money sent back and forth from player to book, back and forth back and forth same damn money back and forth, meanwhile W U has made a 100 million probably in money going back and forth !

when paypal was in the biz, they stated that gambling sites accounted for 7-8% of their volume. I would say 2% for WU is high.
