The way Rob Funk's favorite "journeyman" is pitching, Johan Santana, it looks like you'll have to win 4 of 5 because the Twinkies can chalk up 2 wins in a series with this "middle reliever" on the hill.

just think the Marlins could have kept Santana after drafting him from the Astros in the rule V draft.

Best case scenario for you Red Sox diehards is Twins play (and beat) the Yanks, Sox continue to manhandle the A's, and the Sox face the Twins.
I think they may ahve the bats to shake up Santana and-or Radke.

But then again, that will only get you poor guys hopes up to have it dashed away in the World Series by the back-to-back Trader Jack-led world champion Marlins.

As Strange as it sounds most teams want to play the Yankee's first, I agree.

It would be quite a letdown to not see the Red Sox play the Yankees in the AL Championship round.

agree shotgun. .i will feel kind of cheated if they meet in the DS. .that is the only way NY will beat the sox this time around though, in a 5 game set where more BS can happen

Rob, a WC team cannot play a team from their own division in the 1st round.

We are saved.

I think the YANKS have some kind of curse on them.

This century may indeed be a very very long one for the Yanks.

Can it be almost 20 years since you cashed a 35-1 on Twins in '87 for pennant, Fish? We are getting old my friend. That year Twins had unbelievable D. Unheard of amount of low errors for a team.

santana is hands down the best but this twins team as a whole is garbage. i dont care how much momentum they have. the yanks will win this series. santana was great yesterday, but had the benefit of 6 DP balls and no pitcher could ever do that by design.

as a sox fan i will feel cheated if we dont play NYY in the next round so I'm sort of hoping they get it done, but i think the twins are garbage only worse team is dodgers.

if it ends up being the twins, why did they even bother.

NYY vs SOX once again it was written
