Or even an approximate date that they will vote? Two other questions come to mind also:1.Since their version is slightly different from the House version, what do you think the chances are it won't get worked out? 2.Does it go to the President the same day the Senate passes it? (If of course)

I guess the big thing to be awawe of is the date the Senate is scheduled to do their thing. Thanks.

Date probably won't be known for awhile. This should probably be low on the priority list.

There's always next year, like in 75, 90-93, 99 &

Does this one still need to start over in the House if for some reason the Senate never addresses the Bill before winter recess?

Don't they have to have agreement with the House version . The bills have one major difference that is important :criminal penalties in the senate and none in the house.

Wild Bill--can you explain this to us?

I do not see this thing taking effect during this football season, even if it did take effect, the gov't would not start bothering with it right now. I am confused in a lot of areas about this and I see many people are. The more people that come forward and state their opinions, the better off we all are.

Mattdapimp--We need educated responses and they are hard to come by. But at least we know nothing before Sept.3rd.

Oldmantime-
If the senate bill passes in its current form it would then go to a conference committee where the House and Senate would iron out the differences in the two versions of the bill.

Thanks JayB
I was reading The SHRINK's reply earlier and it seems to be the overall feeling is that something will get passed. (The only problem I have is that IF --I survive FB season, will have a profit for the FIRST time, which I would claim as income. I hope they would not prosecute since I would quit playing offshore immediately with any penalties for the player). I know Wild Bill and others say that the IRS is not the Justice Dept. ; but they are connected! Lol :
