was it 8:20 or 8:27 or what?

I'm trying to make sure somebody is not jacking me around when he asked me to insert V Jackson into his starting lineup in a fantasy football playoff game. He said he couldn't make the lineup change because of computer issues, and said nothing happened yet.

He called me a 8:29. Jackson scored on a 60 yard pass 2:07 in.

I hate to accuse him of cheating, but I have to protect the integrity of the league.

If the game kicked off at 8:20, I'm not going to allow the change.

Thanks

gotta say that's absolutely not allowable in ANY fantfootball leagues.

The "cutoff time" is not based on kickoff, but rather on scheduled game time.

Ie....in Sunday cases it will be "1:00pm EDT" or "4:15 EDT"

Any league that is monitored and graded by outside entity (ESPN/Yahoo et al) would not even permit such a change to happen, regardless of manager excuse.

I have looked around to and it seems like the time was 8:31... Sounds to me like you need to set up a better time restraint on making changing before a game; at least 5 minutes before the game starts.

yeah, most software won't allow a change that late.....guy cant bitch too much about computer issues, when he has all week to get the lineup in...waiting til last minute is always a risk..

commissioners have powers my friend. If somebody can't make a lineup change for some reason, they can call me and I can make all lineup changes at any time, even after the games are over. People call me for various reasons, and has long as they call me before the game starts I'll make the change for them.

I've been running the league for over ten years on CBSSportline, I never fuck around and we've had pretty much the same group of guys since the inception, including "the other Steve".

everyone knows I do the right thing

it is 5 minutes before game time, but a few times a year somebody can't make a change for some reason. I know this guy has issues with his lap-top. there are other times guys call me before the specific time because they can't make a change that day, but I can't put the change in right away myself. In that case, I call the other team and let him know what the change is going to be.

It may sound loose, but it's really run pretty tight, it's on auto-pilot and nobody ever has an issue with the way it's run.

The way you run it seems fine. But to me, you can't wait that long to make a line-up change and be dependent on the commish especially cutting the lineup move within minutes of game time. The guy had all week to make the move if he cared but thats my opinion. If I am the one facing him, just seems like i am getting the short end of the straw. Obviously the owner who tried to make the move will be upset but you have to put in that move earlier in the week or even earlier in the day

that would be 25% my friend, as in 3 out of 12

it wasn't Richie99, it was the league's resident cocaine addict who calls his team "Freak Boyz Bumps". What sucks is that he's playing Huskyboy, and now even Huskygal is busting my chops.

The dude installed a new microwave for me last week, I was feeling obligated. He does good work as a carpenter, and he cheap, y'know what I mean.

If he beats my son, I'm thinking he'll tile my family room if I throw in a case of Bud.
