You would recognize snooker as being related to pool as it is played on a similar table with a cue ball and cues.
There are 15 red balls set as a triangle and a yellow, green, brown blue, pink and black ball positioned on various spots around the table. The object is to sink a red then a colour then a red then a colour with the colours being replaced. Once all the reds are sunk the colours are sunk in order and not replaced.
The game is scored by giving points to the balls thereby allowing betting.
