Does anyone else love the Giants this week?

The G-men seem to be in a great spot.

They were upset last week, and they are 1-1 playing against the 2-0 Skins. If they lose, they are in a deep hole behind the Skins ... however, if they win, they will be sitting pretty on top of the division.

The Skins won two in a row, and I think that they are due for a loss. I don't see any reason to believe that the Giants aren't as good as the Skins. An out-of-bounds kickoff was the difference against the Cowboys.

The Redskins won each of their games by no more than a field goal and they gave up a lot of points to the Vick-less Falcons. The Giants' offense looks to be pretty solid, and they should be able to do against the Redskins what the Falcons did.

But, more than anything, I can't think of a reason why the Skins would start off 3-0 and the Giants would start off 1-2. I certainly don't believe the Skins are the better team ... because I have no reason to believe that. Fassel is a tough coach who will have his men prepared to head into Washington. NFL teams realize the importance of divisional games and the Giants are in a must-win situation. They'll come out ready to play...

And, on top of that, you're getting points! I think this game should be a pick'em.

Please comment if you agree or disagree. I appreciate all types of input. Thanks and good luck!

The way they played in the first half against the Cowboys was enough to keep me away, although I do believe they are potentially a better team than the Skins. Skins are playing good ball right now though. Looks like Laverneous Coles has added some fire to their offense, all of a sudden Ramsey doesn't look too bad, I wonder if he can keep it up. I expect another grudge match here so I'd buy 1/2 a point to make it 3.

By the 3rd and fourth quarter they weren't doing nearly as bad as the Cowboys D was slowing down a bit, but the first half wasn't pretty. Collins isn't a guy, it looks like, that can throw it very well under pressure.

Hmmm.

Not only do the Giants have three rooks on the O-line, but, they are playing their very first road game. Should be called for at least a few false starts as long as the crowd is in to it, which they very well should be and so should the entire team. Giants swept the Skins LY, which was the first time they did that since '95.

Posted 0-4 YTD NFL so far, but I feel at least one win this week. Hopefully.

I think that the out of bounds kickoff was clearly not the difference maker in the game - however it may have been the last nail in their coffin that night.

Its like the whole concept of a game winning run or goal - it really is just something to point at - in reality if they hadnt done the things wrong earlier in the game that put them in that position the kick wouldnt have mattered...

They played well scoring a lot but there were a lot of mistakes also. They should be able to clean them up against the skins this weekend.

I definitely do...NOT like the Giants. That offensive line was really horrid against the Cowboys Monday night. And Quincy Carter torched their secondary. I think this game sets up great for Washington. They will have the extra day of practice, be at home and will be playing a team that played on Monday night the week before.

Not sure what the stats are but both Monday night teams from week 1 lost their week 2 game as big favorites the next week.
