Does Anyone Besides Me Get Phone Calls With 2 Minutes To Go In The Game?

Why is it automatic that my phone will ring whenever I have a large bet and only 2 minutes remaining in the game?

Half the time it is my poor mother, so I feel obliged to answer...

She can tell something is up but I never tell her what is really going on...

And to make matters worse, the game is guranteed to lose once this happens...

Any advice?

I had this guy I do business with call me right when FLA ST PULLED THAT MIRACLE BULLSHIT BOMB VS FLA in what I call the biggest outdoor scam in Fla history....one minute it was 4th and a mile, and I was going to win a couple dimes we're talking all fine, next play I started sweating as they converted the 4th down then came the bomb and I was absolutely speechless

I just hung up and said later something happened to my phone

I have the answering maching set to answer after two rings...it is an external answering maching so I can hear if people are leaving a message...

I NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE...I simply let the machine Pick up....

the way I figure it, if it is important, they will leave a message....If I want to talk to them I can pick it up while they are leaving the message...

If they don't bother leaving a message...Then I figure it is not important anyway...

heres a story....

about 5 years ago, i had an 800 number that had previously belonged to another company..

the first day this 800 number was put in use, i got two hang-up calls from the same number right before kickoff on an early saturday football game....

after the game kicks...i look up the number on my call history...it lists the time/date/and the place/name where the call originates....

call originates from,(in big bold letters) U.S. GOVERNMENT, LANGLEY VA.

couple of days later, phone rings...same area code and prefix shows up on the id....i answer, caller says this is so-and-so from the US Air Force base, did i dial 800-***., yes sir you did, but they no longer have this number......lol

i had a loan shark call me who knew i was gambling to pay him back call me 2 minutes before the game was over. it was cool becuase we were sharing info and often betting the same side, but after the game win or lose he wanted to keep talking and boy this guy can talk up a storm. . .when i lose big i dont want to talk to anyone or see anyone that knows about my wager. . it is to the point now i refuse to tell anyone what i bet, becuase if i lose it seems like no one in the world can handle that conversation properly. .the either make a stupid face and say something dumb or they shake their heads and make a idiot comment about gambling. .lastly i would like to say journeyman is a pimp who womanizes several females and benchs 600 pds and this is why i look up to him

Yes, and it is ALWAYS my girlfriend. Never fails. Near the end of a big close sporting event, or during one of the like 2 shows I watch on television -- never fails that she calls.
