Does anyone own a small business, and if so how is this stimulus package effecting you in a positive way? It seems like the only ones who will benefit are those who have yet to start their business, or those who did not go through the SBA for a loan? I know my loan was done with the SBA, and I was told that they do not refinance , and that we are already getting the lowest possible rate. Therefore I'm not really sure how this stimulus package will effect us? Are there more benefits that I am unaware of? I wish they would just come out and give us more tax breaks, and other benefits. Anyways I know this is a better question for an accountant, or lawyer, and not a gambling forum, but my accountant is obviously busy with taxes, and who wants to pay an attorney? I actually have a meeting set up to speak with my accountant, but wanted to go in with a few things I should be asking about. If anybody would prefer to talk in private don't hesitate to pm me.

I own two relatively small businesses (though one is growing) and no, neither is receiving anything from the government sponsored stimulus packages.

So my advice is to create your own stimulus and make your business(es) grow regardless of what they choose to do in Wash DC

Family owns 2 Day Spas in Houston...I manage and run the original location which is 21 yrs old. The economy has sucked for us...down over 40% (350k in gross sales between 2 lacations over the last 18 months) and not a great start this year as Valentines Day sucked for GC sales. But W/ Mothers Day approaching we are hopeful that it will be better. We have been fortunate not to have to take out loans...Things are going to get better this year.:103631605

I am an MBA-educated business consultant, who specializes in small businesses and nonprofits. The stimulus package's ultimate impact is definitely going to be experienced with the contracts for various infrastructure projects, veterans' services, and some other social services. For Joe Plumber or Susie Home Health, it is not going to hit you in the face.

Yet.

(Of course there's more, but I am not writing an essay.)

And for maxdemo's family spa empire, I would strongly suggest promotions with the local radio stations again.

Maybe 4 mothers day...right now we are sticking w/ our bread and butter.. On -line advertising....always done good w/ this also email about 3,000customers every month and offer a 15-25% off coupon and these people love them. We start next month w/ On-line booking over the net. We have partnered w/ Spa Finder to allow customers that have a Spa Finder GC to book right online as well as all our other customers.

Legislation is fourthcoming for help and incentive for small business I believe...

First time I have ever used the word forthcoming

fourthcoming? Does this mean we wait for the second coming first? And then double it? :think2:

With all the shit going down lately I feel like the day to day things we all worry about are pointless. I keep asking myself... Self, what should I be doing if the dollar is going to fail and Obama wants us to be commies? I may as well focus on the the things that bring me the most pleasure... !~~~! and gambling, and :drink: and sex with females 10 years younger than me and @) and the fourth cumming. :103631605

I am done with all the ##) trying to do the "right" things ie; pay bills on time, save for childrens college funds, save for retirement, invest wisely, expand and grow my business, seems all smoke and mirrors anymore JMO.

Great point. A guy here named Dr. Boothe is Lasik surgeon, whose career took after radio advertising on every station.
