State Auditors, Big 6 firms..Gaughan, Trump, Kerkorian, Wynn....Hellmuth, Ivey, Chan, Farha, Doyle, Chip, Russ....Tiger, Artie, & BW's runners,etc..all seem to leave fatter.

If you aren't an owner or card player, relative anonimity is the best way to ensure longevity in being allowed access to attempt making money in a casino, as sportsbettors that aren't getting lit and playing the tables as hard as their ballgames, are persona non grata in the end..even if picking their own & not playing steam(or is far ahead of steam, yet picks many of the same games).

And don't get too lucky at the dice tables, or you may end up with Frankie in the black book.

Fishhead,

At what point is Xfactor a play? Thanks

When XFACTOR first arrived on the scene, I would play them at 5X with around 5-6 stored power units.

Playing a quarter machine on this low number is no big deal, but this can get slightly hairy on a $1 or $5 machine at this level.

Some factors to consider are the relative looseness of the slots at the particular casino your playing(which you get a feel for after a few plays on an Xfactor, the amount of other players that are in the know to the same thing you are, and if you not worried at all of being possibly tied up on a machine longer than you would prefer.

For the last 3-4 years I have tried to discipline myself to playing $1 dollar and above X-factors only on 6x with a minimum of around 3-4 stored power units.

This is the answer I would give somebody that is 100% new to this game or the world of slots.

Like I said however, with experience, you learn to sort of gain an instinctive way to play the correct number..........as I am sure you know what I mean.

This is one of my all-time favorite slot games, very very fun and highly profitable over the years.

Thanks for the golf, and arena plays Rail..........much appreciated sir.

anybody will tell you the only real winners at the casino are the pit bosses.

they get paid to just stand there and look cool and casually nod their head anytime a dealer yells "checks play".

I HAVE A CLOSE FRIEND THAT ALMOST NEVER LOSES AT CRAPS. HE HAS SUCH A LARGE BANKROLL THAT HE CAN GO VERY DEEP INTO A GAME. IF HE IS STUCK HE CAN WAIT FOR THAT ONE ROLL THAT CAN GET HIM TO EVEN OR CLOSE. AND WITH HIS STYLE IF HE WALKS INTO A ROLL RIGHT AWAY, IT IS ALL OVER. WAS WITH HIM IN VEGAS LAST WEEK AND WE WALKED RIGHT INTO A ROLL AFTER 15 MIN, HE WAS UP OVER 27K..SO IF THE BANKROLL IS BIG ENOUGH AND THE BALLS ARE TO, YOU CAN GRIND IT OUT TO A WINNING POSITION................G.

That is all good in principle.....sort of.

Make NO MISTAKE about it, you CANNOT come out ahead in the game of craps over the LONGHAUL.

The only possible way would be either to cheat or if you happen to play 2 for 1 match-plays that some casinos give out.

Consider craps only for pure entertainment.

As I stated above, and have said what seems like a thousand times now, you can only become a long term winner at BLACKJACK, VIDEO POKER, OR CERTAIN SLOTS.

This excludes sportsbetting and horse/race betting.

Fishhead is a winner in the casinos. Definetly a pro in video poker. That is the difference. I would not reccommend anyone to play video poker without studying and playing the right games. It is amazing to watch him play. He makes his decisions in an instant. He plays a lot of hands so the long term is his key. You have to know the right machines and play correctly.
As far as other games, you can win at horses. The take is huge and bankroll is key.
This guy, Pizzola is amazing at picking. He tells the truth, which people don't want to hear. His website is handicappingmagic.com
For sports I think Donn Wagner is a long time winner.

Thats not quite the whole story, just about every game is beatable in the right situation.
A lot of the carny games such as let it ride and 3 card poker are beatable using advanced techniques.
Even roulette is legally beatable in the right situation.
Take blackjack, it can be beaten legally several different ways.
Counting, tracking, sequencing, steering and banging plus some others.

Lurker- Not counting the progressive end of the equation which arises rarely as a play, or cheating................how is LET IT RIDE a win?

Does your advanced technique assume you can look at other players cards?........which is technically illegal, although most casinos let you do it.

i agree on let it ride actually.

if you keep pulling back until you see at least a pair of tens youll hang in for a long time. (not taking dumb chances on straights and flushes, unless it is containing at least 2 high cards) if you can hold out for four of a kind with 2/3rds of a decent bet out youre golden.

Fun game Rob, but unless your using PERFECT strategy and able to look at others cards(considered cheating at most casinos), it is a losing game.

Talk about bringing up old threads.
Yeh, Let it Ride is legally beatable, just like banking slots.
but I am not telling you how in public.

BORAT--

I just reviewed the thread........it seems like I DISAGREE on THREE things

CRAPS is beatable longterm without cheating.

LET IT RIDE is beatable longtern without cheating or factoring in progressive amounts.

PIT BOSSES are the only winners in casinos.

YES, I DISAGREE WITH THOSE THREE STATEMENTS.

fish, have you ever seen a royal flush ever in your life in any official casino poker game, video or let it ride where money was involved?

Not fish, but I saw it once in let-it-ride. A guy was NOT paying the dollar jackpot drop and got the royal flush. He then continued to play and started putting the dollar up (yeah, it might happen twice).

Other than that, I've seen it in poker a few times (got one once myself). I actually saw once when a royal flush was the board in hold'em.

Good Luck,
Bart
