We want the ball, and someone is going to score? I respect the guy for being man enough to admit he screwed up when he said that. I think in the heat of the moment he blurted out something he was thinking. Was not a contrived prediction or some look at me media event. Did he have a plan of what he was going to say, just in case it went to OT, just in case they won the coin flip? Ain't like hiding a cel phone in the goal post padding. Either way, he has been the best he has ever been this year.

Correct FROG in that Hasselback has shown more sack in his short time here than the majority of the Seahawks have since 1977.

BUT, I think Pitt makes a sack lunch out of the Seahags next week.

I am mostly capping props as I hit my goal when Sea faced Car last week. Now it is all hedge. But I have to cap the props, and Sea has pretty balanced offense, and the ability to move the chains effectively. Plus Matt has the West coast reads down. Finds the open man and is on target. His ratings are A+. He did it without a running game. However Pitt D is tough, and physical. Especially front seven. Secondary can get exploited. Matt is no Jake. Big Ben is very Mattlike with his ratings. The running game is not so good, when they always have a lead and run every down. Two weeks in a row I have seen them sit, go conservative after Ben lights up the other team. And they just end up punting. Has been a nice setup for Pitt, Carson getting hurt first series. Indy pulling it's usual post season bad game. And who actually thought Denver would do anything with Jake Bummer? I think the points may work again. Been a lot of close SB's as of late. 3 pt game, coin flip. Why is the heads called on the coin flip such a chalk at Pinny?

Capn, it was Ken Patera, Jack Patera was coach.
Thanks JMAN! I was sad to hear of Ken's passing a while back! I remember Jack now - he was a regular guy and a good coach!:103631605 I see Grande went to -4.5 on Pittsburgh!

I live here and I have no real affection for this team. Same can be said for the Mariners and Huskies. Wagering wise I'll back 'em or fade 'em game to game like any other team.

I grew up in California so I'm still all about the Dodgers, Raiders and USC. When I talk to people here they think I'm nuts for not backing the locals, but you can't just change loyalties when you move to a new city (13 years ago in my case) can you?

Jimmy - I'm moving to Seattle from Phoenix sometime in the next two months, so I'll ask you the question I'm sure I'm going to hear

"Why did you move to Seattle, when you had the sun, the beach, blah, blah, blah"

The books will hate the seahawks when they get killed in the super bowl. The only thing that will keep this game close is the refs, and you know they have been told to keep it close because of advertising money.

I disagree! I've been betting on or taking bets on this team since Jim Zorn and co. and no matter which way I need, for or against, it seems we always end up with the wrong side. Heaven forbid we get even action on this game - that means it will fall for sure! :lolBIG:
Thank God the game stayed under. Many parlays and teasers went down. My condolences to Seattle fans and bettors, it sucks losing especially when you were the better team and almosy completely outplayed the other team everywhere but the scoreboard.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL STEELER FANS' AND BETTORS! :103631605
