Does a book have to honor a bad line?

Caught an obvious bad line posted at the half for the Dallas o/u for the second. Jumped on it and it was honored. Does a book have to honor a posted line even though it is obvious it was a mistake?

No, especially if it is blatantly incorrect or inverted.

A well worn question on these boards. Many feel a bet is a bet, while others (myself included) would judge each "bad line" based on it's apparent distance from the correct line. Eg. A 12 point favorite hung as a 12 point dog would be to far from reality to expect a book to honor a bet so badly off. Just my 2 cents.

posting that you bet it because it was an obvious bad line is probably not the brightest thing you could have done...

Once in a while Olympic will put up a bad line and to get away with it you have to parlay it. never been cancelled if parlayed
