I'm just hoping this is bullshit, don't know what else to say

although it's becoming more and more obvious what path we're on

No bullshit. It's reality. One step closer to a health insurace bailout or to single payer. Choose your poison.

in Britain, I know there are cash only medical services

can insurance companies still offer catastrophic policies?

maybe purchase such a policy and then use cash only services

probably against the law now with Obamacare and libtards running amok

43-41-1 I guess by your standards that would be +10.

Ummm 43-41 is a losing year in gambling terms...but I'm sure that's your best year. Being that I'm plus units in the nfl and you aren't...do you see how stupid you look by mocking me? Probably not.

That was my record in the LVH Super Contest and yes I didn't win anything except a really expensive T-shirt. I went 11-4 in the mini contest and still nothing. I guess that's what happens when you play with the big boys.

Back on topic...

There's another explanation for the lack of Democratic fixes to Obamacare. For many, the Affordable Care Act is performing pretty much as planned. That includes the parts that are imposing terrible burdens on some Americans.

In a new article in the New Republic, liberal journalist Noam Scheiber writes that Obamacare was designed to create unacceptable conditions — crushingly expensive premiums for some Americans, "maddeningly insufficient health insurance" for others -- that would create pressure on Congress to step in and grant relief in the form of more generous benefits. Ultimately, supporters like Scheiber hope, Obamacare will grow into a giant single-payer federal program.

Of course, that's not at all what President Obama and Democrats said when they campaigned for the bill. That troubles liberals like Scheiber not at all. "I consider [Obamacare] a deceptively sneaky way to get the health care system [we] really want," he writes.

Given that point of view — and it was shared by some Democratic lawmakers on Capitol Hill — don't look for much zeal from Democrats to fix Obamacare. Of course, they have to say they want to make changes, because so many Americans are facing the law's negative effects. But if those negative effects eventually lead to a sprawling, bureaucratically centralized, single-payer national health care system -- in other words, to what some Democrats have worked toward for generations — well, why would they want to "fix" that?

What are Americans priorities?

On the heels of a federal court striking down Chicago's ban on gun sales, those seeking gun permits in Illinois flooded the State Police website over the weekend to begin the permitting process.

In fact, the amount of Illinois residents seeking a conceal carry permit already surpasses those who enrolled in Obamacare after the first two months of the launch of healthcare.gov. The Chicago Sun-Times reported 4,525 individuals signed up on Sunday alone for their firearms permits, when the State Police first opened the process to all concealed carry applicants.

I probably wont remember to come back and look at this thread but I have personally seen one positive thing come out of this. The family of a kid I know of that needs some pretty invasive brain surgery was needing to raise 200k to save his life, with Obama Care they now only need to raise 75-100k. The irony is that this is a very conservative and anti Obama family who now cant deny that this administration might save their child's life.

There are 320+ million people in this country, and you found one that benefited (supposedly) from vile ObamaCare.

let me see if I understand this. Sheriff Joe posts a thread about one incident that went wrong and that makes everything about the ACA wrong, but someone else posts about one incident where it helped someone and that doesn't count. Typical right wing logic...

You're really not that stupid are you?

We both know you've been reading the news the last few months (actually the last few years) about how much of an absolute cluster-fuck ObamaCare is,
so if you think any incident of ObamaCare being fucked-up is isolated, you really are as retarded as you seem.

Actually, I rarely ready the news. It's too depressing. Obamacare does not really affect me since I have company insurance and don't have to go thru Obamacare. But as usual, you totally missed the point I was making. BTW, when does the next gay parade come down your street?

It's called propaganda.

Goebbels would be proud.
