i am in the medical field and i do believe there is a cure for many diseases including cancer, there is no doubt in my mind that the cure would be held back
just imagine if there was a cure or someone discovered the cure for cancer? that would put so many companies out of business, the cancer research centers look for ways to keep you alive longer relying on patients to continue taking their medicine, if you can survive cancer with purchasing their medication (you or you insurance company) then everyone wins. they make their fortune and you get to stay alive.

With all of the extreme advances in the medical field & technologoy, cancer is the one thing that I personally feel they are behind on.
Sometimes it just makes your wonder if they're looking for a cure in all the wrong places when who knows, it could but right up under their nose somewhere unexpected growing right up out of the ground somewhere or something....

No, there is no cure for cancer anymore than a cure for the common cold. While I agree that corporate conspiracies happen (speaking corporate/military/contractor conspiracies, I am still 50/50 on whether some factions of our govt agencies where complicit in allowing the 911 attack), cancer is a multifaceted predation with different characteristics depending on the organ and the organ's weakness (obviously some environmental and genetic factors). If you think that corporate gains are the reason that existing cures remain hidden, then you have to give equal weight to the argument that there are also corporate gainful payouts for cures. Maybe my logic wouldn't work for how the rubber and oil companies conspired to promote automobiles in killing off public transportation. I grant that. But I work in the research world, and I am stone sure that no anti-cure conspiracy exists not because I have any faith in human nature; my reason is that I don't.

Isn't there a book that was written that exposed some of the statements being made in this thread? Something about the politics of where the money goes in regards to the AMA and lobbying? If we had some statements from a book making those claims we could address those statements rather than the opinion of posters on a message board.

there are MANY types of cancer, I imagine that while the obvious effect is the same, the specific causes of each are different.
Now, I remember a while back that they developed a vaccine for a specific type of cancer (cervix cancer).
So to start with its not as simple as saying 'there is a cure for cancer'
Also applying this same type of 'logic' there could be cures for just about every disease and the 'logic' would still apply.
Finally, I believe that if they had anything that would remotely resemble a 'cure' they would be very actively selling it and not keeping it in the dark after (presumably?) they spent a lot of $ in developing it
Its far easier to say something like, hunger in the World could be erradicated, that is most certainly possible but it doesn't happen for many reasons, in the mean time, on this side of the World we die because of the precise opposite.......eating too much crap
one more thing, a good 'cure' for cancer is not smoking...yet people don't care so why do we need conspiracies here?

"A World Without Cancer" is the name of the film i think...the theory is that the 21st century diet is lacking certain components that creates a more cancer friendly enviroment....if you look at cultures that are a lil behind the times the rates of cancer are much less then in the developed world. they bring up Skurvy (spelling?) as a comparison....everyone was looking in the wrong direction....ate some fruits and veggies....amazingly the seemingly incureable illness was cured =). i dont think its far fetched to think we could be overanalyzing this and the answer is right under our noses.

#2) Come up with a way that DNA replication does not undergo any errors whatsoever
#3) Stop inbredding
#4) All you mutants who have mutant wives stop popping out hundreds of kids
#5) If you are over a certain age you shouldnt be having kids
#6) If you have a family history of a germline mutation maybe, just maybe you should stop procreating
that should take care of most of it.

It is amazing at the millions of $$$ that is being put into research and in 50-100 yrs there is still no cure for cancer, my question is where is all the money going to. Because year after year millions of dollars is pump into finding a cure with no results. Technology and Scientists are far to advanced today to still not find anything close to a cure. So who is pocketing all these millions.
