Do you think online poker uses software that drives bigger rakes?

Vitt you're making stuff up. Just because UB had a scandal 6 years ago doesn't mean all of online poker is rigged. That is like saying because Tim Donaghy, all NBA games are rigged.

Making what up?? Are you saying UB is the only scandal? This can't be the first time you've heard all this stuff.

Internet poker is simply not trustworthy and not on the level.

I am saying the incidents are more isolated than you think and I don't think the big 2 do it. I can't really speak about some smaller sites that I don't even know.

Like I said, I have a friend who was 1 of the best midstakes online grinders until Black Friday. He has a pretty extensive database that refutes your claims of widespread corruption.

I've heard and seen enough to convince me. I simply don't trust it. When you have the site and other players trying to fleece you behind a computer screen.....it's too tough to overcome in my opinion. Eventually one or the other will get ya. I don't know if the "big sites" do it or not but wouldn't be surprised if one of them is caught doing something in the future.

I don't wanna gamble anywhere where my edge or advantage is at extreme risk....and I believe Internet poker and blackjack it is extreme risk.

Completely rigged....setup hands created for action.....people had cheat software to see others cards......UB was known to have pocket aces lose to pocket 9's a huge percentage of the time. Thankfully they got caught cheating.

Keep the donks fat with money.....the whales will make money elsewhere....whales plus donks with money equals huge pots. It's a major scam and why you see idiots win a lot of money online and go broke in live games.....it's not a coincidence.

Nope. I'm very much aware of what went on at UltimateBet. There was no "cheat software" that people had, what existed was a back-door in the existing software that allowed a select few to
see hole cards. There was no "pocket aces lose to pocket 9's" bullshit, something like that would have very easily been exposed early on.

Super user accounts. POTRIPPER-NIONIO and some more. Russ Hamilton a known scammer to play as POTRIPPER, ex WSOP champ, greedy as fuck, stole millions from fellow high stakes players.

Zit, do you remember an incident involving Hellmuth playing HU against another solid pro and the pot being awarded to Phil even though he had the worst hand? It was hilarious, more hilarious was Phil acting naive on the chat... he was like... is not my fault bro. LMAO.

You don't have all the info.....many players knew about the aces and 9's glitch back then.

There was more cheating going on there and other places that never came out in public but many players know about them.

Many people I know would say to me they won't play at sites because they suspect it was crooked.......it's a dirty industry.

With the logs available, it would be very easily to do a statistical analysis (given the countless millions of hands that the server serves out) which would show
the "glitch" that you're talking about. I don't believe for a second that *any* poker provider would be dumb enough to do this, it's so easily exposed.

I'm with Zit, on the idea that sites are NOT giving donks winning hands. To me that sounds ridiculous, especially here in Nevada where it's regulated. To me running software that inspires bigger pots seems more likely. I know casinos can alter the software on things like video poker here, as long as they are not cheating and giving anyone person an advantage.

This software reminds me of the old Bill Walsh College Football game....if a team was winning by a few td's they make the winning team fumble and throw picks to tighten up the game. Lol.

It's definitely shady stuff.

Yup.

So, to summarize: it would be very difficult to do, it's probably not even in their best interest, and it would be easily exposed.

Yet people who suck at poker are still convinced it happens.

Until the next scandal hits.....and then it will be " they all don't do it" all over again.

Getting your money in good online......is different than getting it in good live....it just is.

Oh and it isn't difficult to do and is in their best interest short term....which is what greedy people care about most.

Many people feel the way I do. If you know as many people inside poker as you've said in the past......you would know many of them feel the same way.

Yes many people do feel that way.
But not anyone with credibility.

Yes you got the Rare UB/AB stuff.

But the way you are describing it is a mass conspiracy situation which nobody with any cred believes.

I liken online cheating to that rare event such as a basketball player at a mid level D1 school accepting $500 to keep it under thespread

Your belief system goes way beyond that.
What you are saying is basically the equivalent of when someone says the entire NFL or NBA is rigged like the WWE.

And there is nobody in the poker community that believes that.

And the fact that you don't realize that does say something for your live game.

I know you don't realize you are telling on yourself because of your lack of knowledge but you are.

If you want your live poker story to be believable I would suggest you refrain from talking about poker on this site.

Because every time you do you expose yourself.
