yes......only because of the precedent that has already been set........they cant start cutting off this one and bailing that one...........they should've let the first one crumble.......if we all suffer we all suffer for a better future.....current americans are selfish IMO right now

Hell no ... businesses fail all the time ... should we have bailed out Enron? Arthur Anderson? Why do we need to bailout banks?

I voted No.

I think the people who are going to have to pay for this
( you and I ) need to better understand what it entails,
and waiting a week or two or more isn't going to make
or break the economy. IMHO.

steak your missing the point of the 700 billion number

they will likely reduce it

but all this figure is, is how much toxic crap the government can hold at any one time!!!

government can buy up 100 bill of toxic crap than sell for 50 billion giving the taxpayer a 50 bil loss....and than take on another 100 bil

rinse wash repeat

if anything lowering the number could put us more at risk of losses since they will more likely part ways with the toxic crap alot faster and for a crappier price if somebody else comes to table in dire need of being saved and their holdings of toxic crap is already maxed out

I Don't support it. No bailouts. Let the free market correct itself. I don't think this bailout solves the problem, it just prolongs the inevitable. Bite the bullet, and be done with it.

It's not a bail-out, its extortion. It's the biggest robbery in the history of the world.
