Do you need to supply ID to purchase a prepaid phone?

A guy told me you can go get a phone that you buy pre paid minutes for and you can call and receive calls. DOes anyone know about these phones and do you need ID to purchase them? This could help calling off shore.

If your betting less than 2,000 a game and less than 2,000,000 in wagers overall for the year, I would say you have ZERO to worry about.

I use a tracfone and did not have to send anything to them when I bought the phone online. You pay for the phone and minutes up front.

yeah works great, i don't use it very much, just like to have it with me in case of emergency. Got a new one last year with a camera phone, 1000 minutes and 14 months of service for $129.

You can go to a store like traget, buy a phone with cash and activate it with no personal info right away.

All these phone companies must have "paid off" their elected representatives. I love freedom as well as anyone. But when paying for caller id and the old "unavailable" comes up; it gets me. Yes the big phone companies will "sell you" some other package to block up to 16 calls or whatever the latest money making scheme happens to be; but all phone companies are the politicians best friend!
