I'm 36 and feel like I'm in my late 20's and look much younger than most of my friends. I'm still very active playing basketball, working out, softball, eat right and stay in great shape. As stated above, very important. Can't be 100 lbs overweight, not take care of yourself and expect to feel young.

I will say I'm married and have 3 younger kids (9, 7 & 4) and they also keep me young, not the other way around. Sure they make me tired but I don't want to be that dad that is too tired to play sports with them. Getting married can make you old if you act like the Waltons or don't give a shit.

At 63 I feel OK thanks to exercise and a healthy decent diet with a great wife thrown in the mix. I don't know what to make of six years as head mod here at the Rx come June 20th..I know it has helped me grow a thick skin for sure..Bigbet has met me recently..Let him voice his opinion..Contrary to what many apparently believe I get the most satisfaction in life out of helping virtually complete strangers (and my kid sister) on a regular basis. There is something to be said about helping others that keeps one feeling his or her life is worthwhile.

I'll be 26 this weekend, and feel like I'm turning 46. Guess that's what physical manual labor does to you. Glad I made the decision this year to go back to school.

At 36 years old I feel around 25. At 6'1 and 183 pounds I feel better than ever right now. Although multiple deployments will stress you out and cause you physically to be worn down, you just have to stay optimistic about life. Lift 5 days a week, run four days a week and continue to work the abs. Can't wait to see what life has in store for me in the future.

Yea, Wil is a good dude.

We talked about all kinds of things that go on in forum land. Most of it is really comical.

I'm sure I added a layer or two to Wil's thick skin. LOL

Congrats on 6 years buddy, and to another 6!

Will be 44 in September and all things considered I feel pretty goods most days. 10 years of an alcohol and drug free lifestyle have allowed my body to heal somewhat and steady exercies with a healthy nurtitious diet is key to maintaining a proper weight. Vitamins have a been a big addition here in the past few years while anti depressants are no longer needed. Even though I try to continue to be healthy, the wear and tear of playing High School Football and Basketball in years past are taking its toll on my knees. I would give me a solid overall B however on the Health Report Card and I am grateful.

Wil is The Nutts! I can attest to his helping people. I am one of them.

I will be 66 in july and am thankful that I have good health and a GREAT wife. Had both knees replaced in late 02 and it changed my life for the better. Sometimes you have to give up fighting and running. Wil is STILL The Nutts! LT

24 and feel 24. I drink a lot, smoke, exercise somewhat regularly, and eat decent enough so I still look and feel good outside of the occasional extreme hangover. Could I exercise more? Sure. Could I drink yes? Sure. Eat better? Everyone could. But I'm enjoying life right now and still getting girls. It is what it is and its pretty good.

Now once my metabolism slows down or I keep up what I'm doing at 35, then I'll probably feel old as shit.

Im 32 and feel about 43. I went from being a real athlete: football, basketball, college baseball to slow pitch mens softball and bowling. And the sad part is ive been hurt probably 4 times in the last 4 slow pitch softball seasons. A ground ball took a bad hop 2 weeks ago and hit me in the knee cap. It still hurts. 10 years ago that shit wouldnt have hurt 24 hours after it happened.

Coach LT was a lot more fun when he was running and fighting!! He kicked some Captain's ass one day at the fire station when he was almost 60 years old!! It was hilarious!

I'm 40...act like I'm 20 or so. I feel like I'm in my early 30's...and certainly look younger than 40. I've run more than 2000 miles per year the last 6 years...and at 40 ran a 2:58 marathon (that's 6:49/mile for 26.2 miles...)...which is something I never could do in my 30's. I do drink more beer than I should and don't get enough sleep...but I've also reduced the stress in my life by taking a "leave of absence" from the fire department.

I can barely run 1 mile in 7 mins - a marathon in under 7 mins/mile is burning

Thanks VD for the kind words. Much appreciated, same to Bigbet and others who have been complimentary in this thread.. I can say the same thing about Viejo Dinosaur - great guy with a heart as big as all outdoors - they don't come any better as a person in general..He is able to see beyond these forum politics into what makes the people in his life real or phony.

Many strangers to me at other forums find it easy to be critical of myself and others they have no idea about but with guys like VD, Judge Wapner, Steak Tartar, Douglas, now that we have met Murphy8276 and many more realize that everyone on these forums have similar interests but that does not necessarily define the kind of person each of us is in our daily lives.

I know the names I have mentioned in this post are real people who can be counted on as friends not just figments of someone's imagination. I know I get called names by people at other forums who have not even met me never mind actually know me but despite that I hold no grudges and wish them nothing but the best in their own lives.

For the record I have not been drunk or even had a sip of an alcoholic beverage since April of 1990 and weigh at most 210 pounds soaking wet on a 6 ft 1 inches tall frame, which I think precludes me from the fat drunk category I was told I was being described as at another forum recently.

Best to all, wil...

A few years ago I was a train wreck. I weighed around 240 and had very high blood pressure and what appeared to be early Type 2 diabetes. I had a doctor tell me it was only a matter of time before I would suffer a heart attack and or stroke. I had just gone through a separation and my eating was out of control. The most exercise I got was walking to the fridge to get more food. I just turned 50 last February and I can honestly tell you I am in the best physical condition of my life and feel fantastic. I weigh about 168 now and I workout every morning and eat mostly a plant based diet. Was it hard HELL YES but well worth it. My blood pressure and sugar are well below normal with no medications. I dropped from a 42 inch waist to a 32 inch waste. I love being active and I love working out and eating whole foods. And trust me if you knew me prior to this lifestyle change you would never ever think that I could have done this. It is possible but you have to take it one day at a time.

No woman, no job, entire wardrobe is sweats and t-shirts, virtually all cooking is in the microwave, shave less than once per week and still get carded. I feel 18

Correction, there is a woman, but our only contact is through text messages and facebook status updates. That makes me feel 16 -- exactly half. At least I'm tall -- though still the same height from that age

no job, wardrobe of sweats and tee shirts , shave less than once per week , cook in the microwave ...

hard to believe their is no woman around....
