Do wagers on rained out games count as action towards bonus requirements?

Just curious - not a bonus whore, but could see this as a potential angle for bonus whores, since there are some games that are VERY likely to be rained out, but don't get taken down until game time.

Does it matter if it is postponed during the game or prior to the first pitch?

No. Also if you bet the listed pitcher and they change, you don't get credit.
It would be great though.

No, and they shouldn't, since your money was never actually at risk.

As far as qualifying for the rollover, a more interesting situation would be (for example) betting the Under 8 in baseball, and the game ending 5-3. This situation is a little less clear cut, because your money was actually at risk.

No action is no action...HOW could anyone possibly say any differently?

On the subject, the Rockies game tonight will one.

(misunderstood)

A push should qualify towards rollover-the money WAS in play.

Don't speak so fast guys. The correct answer is it depends on the books. At some books rained out games and change of pitchers still count. Your best bet is to simply call customer service and ask how much action you still need to give to complete your rollover rquirement.

Give the books a break.

You guys want credit for pitching changes too?

No win or loss on the ticket? No soup.

The only gripe I have, which I've never had answered is the "over" being cancelled with 20 runs scored. I stand by my claim that a drunk judge set a precident moons ago.

This thread is a joke, right?
Nobody really thinks they meet their rollover on postponed games, do they?

I really want someone to look me in the eye and say they deserve the credit....
What happened to honor?
In a business where you have to rely on my honor-you send me $$$ and trust me to be honorable and pay-WHY DOESN'T ANYBODY THINK THAT THE CUSTOMER HAS TO CONDUCT HIMSELF IN AN HONORABLE MANNER, TOO?

INtersting thread. I never really thought anout this.

I always just assumed that if I did not win or lose the bet for any reason (push, rainout, etc) then it shouldn't count towards my rollover.

The rollover requirement, correct me if I am wrong here books, is set to either recapture all (15% bonus with a 5x rollver) of the bonus, break even (15% bonus with a 3x rollver), or be used as a loss leader to gain customers (25% bonus with a 3x rollver) in the hopes they like the book and stay around.

I've never asked a book about this and probable wouldn't; however, it might be a good idea for books to clarify this on their websites. I can see it now, poster X keeps the weather channel on and only bets games in pouring thundestorms. Bets the full boat 5x, all cancelled, and then tries to collect the bonus (and of course bashes the book when they don't pay).

Honor amongst thieves.

H- how ya doing buddy.

Why is an "over" 9 selection no action with a rainout after 7 innings with the score 12-8?

The number 9 has been surpassed.

OK. I gotcha now.

I must have been asleep. I thought you meant that all Over bets on ANY game (standard 9 innings, extra innings, etc.) are cancelled if 20 or more runs are scored.

Now that I understand, I totally agree with you. If it's 12-8 in the 6th inning and the game gets cancelled, there's no way that the Under could ever have won anyway. I've often thought this was a screwed up rule, too.
