Monday’s serving of

</NOBR> playoff action includes two finishing jobs of a potential four-game sweep. It got us wondering in the Covers.com newsroom how teams up 3-0 have fared in Game 4?
Every NBA player, coach and fan knows there’s never been a team to come back down three games to none to win a best of seven series. Do the majority of clubs give up before the opening tip of Game 4 or do they roll up their sleeves and play for pride?
Since the NBA changed the first round from best of five to a best of seven in 2003, clubs with a broom in hand have successfully completed the sweep 15 out of 18 times and are 12-5-1 against the spread.
The average pointspread in those 18 cases is just a shade under 4.5. The lines were as small as -1 (Nets-Celtics second round 2003) and as large as -8.5 (Pacers-Celtics first round 2004).
Oddsmakers have the
Cleveland Cavaliers giving 9.5 points to the hosting
Atlanta Hawks and the
Denver Nuggets 1.5 road dogs against the
Dallas Mavericks.
The Cavs were the only teams to go undefeated in the first round this year, sweeping the
