We had a team meeting last night to discuss ways to improve our posting forum.

One of the topics that was discussed was whether or not posters have a right to be here or should it be considered a "priviledge."

We are very interested to hear your feedback on this and thanks in advance...

You are kidding right??!?!?!

You own the site and you can run it anyway you choose, including banning posters. I wouldn't go as far as calling it a priviledge but posters certainly do not have a "right" to be at the Rx.

i think being at the rx is a right. however, just like in real life, certain actions can cause certain rights to be revoked.

theswami,

While I do believe it should be considered a "priviledge," some people think it is their god given "right."

I think it is a priviledge, a priviledge that should be revoked for the following ass cracks :

hahaha, funniest thing I've read in a long long time.

Without your posters your site would be worth nothing.

kongen,

While I totally agree with your post, without some sense of "order," there would be no forum...

I think its a mixture of a right and a priviledge.

It all boils down to "Treat a poster as if he/she is right in front of you with respect"

I think a board that personifies a privilege type of atmosphere is the wrong way to run a forum.

My humble opinion

I agree with Kongen. This is like discussing how many angels can dance on the head of a pin.

I think to actually view it..."Therxforum.com" is a right since it is part of the World Wide Web and does not have a fee to view it.....BUT to post....that is a PRIVILEDGE.

Ok, idiot - I'll play.

Oh, that was the one where you spazzed out on me like a little girl because I was, pretty mildly, defending Royal as you and your cohorts were dragging them through the mud. Like I told you back then, people like yourself that are at the bottom of the food chain only hear what certain people want you to hear, with the expectation that you aggressively attack anybody with a differing opinion.

You fall for it every time and usually end up looking ridiculous.

Any hard-ass opinions on how bad Royal is these days? Or have things changed somehow?

Jay Leno has hit it on the head (differecne between passive and active participation in a community).

However, most situation that include privilidge include some standard of conduct or rules. I would suggest, as we often recomend to the books, that you make you rules clear, consie, and apply them consistently. I am certain the members here would have no problem assisting you with drafting these rules.

RPM, just interested...why do you think it is a right?

It would seem to me that a "right" is something that an individual owns or can lay claim to sort of like the "right" to remain silent, the "right" to use public facilities like parks and such.

THE SHRINK - As long as posters realize that it is their Privilege to post as long as they follow the rules and behave like adults...then they have the right to EXPRESS their opinion as long as it's addressed in a civilized manner. And everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Shrink what about my situation where you have you-know-who here in Curacao going to court to keep Intuition Bet from posting his opinion here in this open forum?

Does this forum support FREEDOM of SPEECH?

Please reply. Thanks

Lander's just another wannabe insider who at least posts in complete sentences to gain brownie points with Shrink and thinks he's some kind of rocket scientist cause he plays off lines at shit books. He should get paid more cause he does a better job stirring up shit than most posters here.

Butt muncher, I don't work in cohorts with anyone. IN FACT - I work with Royal to get their lines up here. Yeah, that's right stupid ... I work WITH Royal. I like Royal, I wish Royal the best .. but that DOES NOT change my opinion on them.

Like I told you back then, people like yourself that are at the bottom of the food chain only hear what certain people want you to hear, with the expectation that you aggressively attack anybody with a differing opinion. You fall for it every time and usually end up looking ridiculous.
Not sure what I'm falling for, but my sources on Royal were not just the RX and/or Ken. There is a VERY BIG reason why Royal was put through the grinder. I've heard why they were in trouble, why they're "safe", etc ... but I'm not Royal, so I do not post "rumors". That said - I still see NO reason to take chances. Maybe is doesn't matter for degenerates like yourself? Maybe your sorry ass would lose the bank anyways, but I like to go to bed knowing I could have my bank in my hand tomorrow if I needed it. That's why I play where I play - TRUST.

Any hard-ass opinions on how bad Royal is these days? Or have things changed somehow?
I still DO NOT play at Royal. I have heard too many things & I have read too many reports at SBR about their situation. I think they have a great group over there & I wish them the best, but with 20 other places to play I can't see any reason to risk it.
