Do people from older generations get sick when they see the current generation waste so much time on videogames

My closest friends are BIG gamers.. thats ALLL they do... drink and play video games...

Im just so bad at new video games... sounds like an old man, but I am...

All I play is Halo Reach now, because that's what I've spent the last 10 years playing with my friends when I do hang out with them... Also play Madden and NBA Jam (just like the sega / super nes version! )

I remember playin Hockey like 5 years ago and it being a blast maybe will pick that up...

The wife and I like playing the Wii together and some of the kinect games... When Mario Kart for Wii me and the girl spent 5 hours a week playing together. It was a blast...

Also the kinect is kinda fun , especially having a few drinks and seeing the pictures it takes.

Taking a vote until 11:00 as to which game I should rip up:

Mike Tyson's Punchout
OR

I gave up gaming when I became the guy who needed a vehicle or sniping position. Now give me the joystick and the big red button and I'll do some damage.

Looking at first-person shooter games where all you do is shoot people was very boring to me. I played some of my friends' games.

However, I bought Grand Theft Auto:4 and it incorporated all sorts of scenarios into the shooting so it actually made it fun.

i am only 22, but don't foresee myself stopping anytime soon. it's a nice time killer. though my education has stressed the importance of exercise and health to me, these come first. if i have some time to kill, video games are a nice way to do it. however, they aren't my first priority...once i have kids though, it'll slow down.

Masters 12 has accounted for 2 broken XBOX controllers so far.. Madden, NHL and golf are the only games I still play

My created player was crushing it in Masters 12. I was like the third ranked golfer and hitting my stride and then the xbox froze all the time. That game could be super frustrating tho. Havent had the motivation to start up again on the new xbox. Wish the player saved to the disc rather than the xbox somehow

I'm in my 30s. Consider myself successful. I work 120 hours every 10 days. On my 4 days off I play 10-15 hours worth of MW3 currently. I don't consider it a waste of time. Same as watching a game on tv, or surfing the internet, or sitting at the bar. I'm relaxing and enjoying myself. Nothing wrong with that. You waste time on the Rx.com and looking at betting lines more than you should probably. You have 9k posts in 2 years.

Thanks. I just figured starting out that everyone else on line would be better than me. After going through GTA:4 a couple times maybe I could do ok.

Make no mistake, everyone will be better than you at first. When playing against live opponents in a shooter, map awareness, smarts, and quick reflexes are essential. It takes some time to develop those skills.

I'm not offended. Playing my ps3 is enjoyable to me. Why would older people or anyone be concerned with how someone spends their time? Who cares? Too many people in the world that are worried about others and judging, rather than living and enjoying THEIR own lives.
