Although "play with al" never showed any signs of being shady in the past, I have evperienced 2 within a week. I put in a parlay Michigan -13 and over vs. Iowa. Michigan won by 13 and the total went over. "Play with Al" graded it as a loss. I called Saturday night to point this out. I was told to call back Sunday. Knowing how busy books are on Sunday I waited till after the 4's kicked off. "Call back tommorrow", I was told. This went on with 4 different people until Wednesday. On Wednesday I was told that I said Michigan -13, was read back Michigan -13, confirmed Michigan -13 but beacause the clerk read me Michigan -13.5 when she originally gave me a run down that was the number. I was quick to point out their own rules:10. All calls are recorded. Recordings will be used to settle all wagering disputes. Wagers are final based on the clerks read back Please LISTEN to your read back carefully.
11. In the case of a dispute, both management and the member agree, that the tape recording of the transaction shall serve as the final determination in the dispute and the wagers will be adjusted accordingly. The clerk's read back stands! Instead of paying me they canceled the bet.
On Tuesday night prior to 7:50 just about all BM's had 337 New Mexico -1.5.
I bet with Al 2 dimes on Air Force + 1.5 .That was the line everywhere. Again I received a read back and confirmed. About the same time Don Best flashed that the New Mex QB was doubtful. The line went to AF-2. When I later looked at my pending wagers that one was missing. When I called all I kept being told was it was a bad line. WRONG I beat them to a move.Finally they admitted that the line was corrected but I could not have it Yet all the people who bet New Mex -1.5 had to keep their bet. Definately a scum move. I have been unable to speak to the owner or decision maker of this St. Martin book but they are enforcing the Nasa policy of "we don't have to pay wiseguys"
If this book is in that bad shape (as some are after a favorite dominated baseball season) I strongly recommend you don't play with them. STAY AWAY FROM PLAY WITH AL
