Do many people know what you do ?

Very few people know what I do to earn a decent part time income.I'm curious as to how many people actually share their wagering habits with others.For me, only a couple friends and some family members know what I do and how I do it.My mother(80+) cracks me up because she can't comprehend scalping in the simplest terms(very little / no risk with guaranteed profits a majority of the time).

My Wife knows I gamble for fun..but she does not know what my balance is or exactly how much I bet ..thats my business...Just because your married , IMO does not mean you have to share EVERY last detail with your spouse

My wife also knows I gamble, but has no idea how deep it has ever been or what my winnings or losses have been. My gosh, no way I would EVER allow her to know either, especially the winnings as she likes to spend! It doesn't matter if I give this girl a $20 bill or 3-$100 bills, she ALWAYS spends it down to the last dime......:sad3:

wifey knows and a couple of friends that also gamble, but it's not like i win all the time or anything......i gamble for fun and to try to make some money but im no pro.....

for you guys that work and gamble it may not be as big a deal,but when I meet new people or even am talking with people I know,the question is eventually asked"what do you do for work/living". My answer is that I'm a stay at home dad(which I am) but sometimes I wish I was recognized for more than that(though that is the most important "job" IMO). I have always kept the gambling thing quiet, not that I'm ashamed of how I earn my $$, but mostly for security reasons I guess.

i feel guilty about it also, but what can you do. this is what we do well. to this day i havent mastered a clever way to word it, but i get better with each try.

same here. except i say i'm a day trader and i work from home.
then they ask me all these damn stock questions and for tips etc...

I say I'm a teacher which is true except that I only teach 3 hours a week. It's funny nobody questions what I do in the rest of my time...as long as they can put you in a category they're satisfied it seems.

They always ask how do you get into that and I say you don't want to know. That ussally takes care of the questions. then a again I am the only bum in the under pass that has a laptop and I will work for netteller deposit sign.
