Just took SA -2.5 at SIA at -110

It moved up at SIA to Lakers +4 -105

Figured 15 cent cost that covers the 6 and 7 is a pretty good shot.

You think books care if you take both sides at the same book?

I asked the same question about 5 months back and the consensous was that books dont mind as the only reason they move the line is to help draw action to that other side anyways.

no, and in all seriousness , how can they? They move the line...

Gameday, that's a different story, they will boot you for it...or at the very least interogate you...

Books shouldn't mind, they put up their numbers and change them to draw action on a particular side. SIA might be the exception though, they're crazy enough to cancel wagers for things like that. I hope they let em' stand for you, as they should.

My personal opinion is that it matters to some books. Jman points out one group and I would never try this at SIA. Otherwise any "legitimate" book should welcome such action.

BTW I also played the second half getting SAC -3.5 -110. I then sold my holding early in the third as planned SAC -8.5 (for the game) on Tradesports. I covered the 7 and 8 and made a small profit. Wish I'd seen the -2.5 you got.

I don't think they mind as long as you don't use it as a bonus whore tool-to eat up roll requirements.

If the book has no rules up about people doing this, could they really complain? If a book doesn't want x to happen then they should lay out every possible scenario in their rules.

Dante- Any shop worth their weight in gold should not care, if they tell you they do, I would hightail it outta there faster than a roadrunner with kerosine up its *ss!

Yes, understand your statement, didnt mean to sound as if I didnt.

Just stating that if they SHOULD happen to tell you or any other poster that, you should hightail it outta there and inform others of their stand on this and let them act accordingly.

Dante,

Reminds me of a funny story that happened to me years ago at the Riviera in Vegas.

I wagered a hockey game on a 20 cent line laying something in the neighborhood of -150

Wagered 1500-1000 on it and they moved the line 25 cents!

So I come back in 5 miniutes and go to wager the other side at +155 for 1000-1550 to put myself in a cant lose position and they wouldnt allow me to bet it!

Then they move it down a nickel a tad later.

In your words, HILARIOUS!

It may not seem right, but in my years of gambling, some sports books actually won't allow me to middle into them, telling me to bet the other side elsewhere, but the stronger books don't mind at all...

Anyone telling you that it's OK to place in-house middles at SportsInteraction, is giving you very bad advice.

Pinnacle no problem, Olympic no problem .... but do it at SportsInteraction, and you'll probably soon be looking at a big fat "voidance" on one of the legs of the middle (and guess which leg it will be ... that's right ... the winning one).

agree, not at SIA. A half-time middle should be fine, but a line move middle isn't a good idea.

Just to clarify both bets were at halftime due to a line move, constituting a middle, and not recommended at SIA.

middling SIA

I have not made it a habit, but occasionally I have played SIA on both sides and i've never heard anything about it or had any problems. Usually I end up covering elsewhere because most of my stuff is simultaneous.
