If it is true that the books get hurt when a lot of Favs and Overs come in, then I have a suggestion for them.
Make the rules be fair. What is good for the goose, should be good for the gander. If over bettors get a bail out (No Action) when a game doesnt go the full time, then shouldnt Under bettors also get a bail out when it goes an extra 5 -20 minutes ?
Why wouldnt a large number of players bet Favs and Overs with the current unfair and unequal vegas rules pertaining to OT ? I have bet so many games under 200 and it will be like 84-84 at the end of regulation ( 32 point winner ), then its 94-94 after 1 OT, then I lose 103-98. But last year I had Wisconsin under and I got No Action because the game didnt go all the way.
Ok, I can live with that No Action, but I should get No Action for every under and dog I have lost in 2OT, 3 OT, and even 4 OT.
