i for one will be taking a crack at the big carryover in the p/6. nearly every day's a carryover so far.
r2: r super chief. i've been backing several first timers of late at del mar, without a whole lot of success, but i'm going to take a long look at 'super chief from the ted west barn. he's een burning a whole in the wind on the track and is spotted at a realistic 25k level. the 12 hole is no bonus as young horses tend to break out from the far outside stall. howeover, he's got some speed and i hope west has him fit enough to pounce and win first out. 6/1 seems like a fair price to find out if he can run to his works.
r3: ganedyl. crazy as it sounds, i was thinking of making this one my single, b/c she has high speed and drops. desormeaux should have this ready to pop the gate and i'll be holding my breath inside the 16th pole.
r4: honeymoon babe. looks like plenty of speed signed up here to keep the pace honest for 'babe, who should be storming home with pval inside the 8th pole. mitchell off to a slow start, but no matter, he'll turn things around and no one's going better than patrick right now.
r7: brisquette. not thrilled about the rail draw, but brisquette's always had a touch of class, and i'd be surprised if she didn't put in a strong late run with solis. valdivia is lousy with horses like this, so i'm thinking 'qutte's going to move way up in her second start back.
good luck.
